Looks like once DOS approval is received USCIS approval is pretty quick. Hang in there guys. Greatest hurdle still seems to be getting past HHS. So timeline wise after HHS seems to be about 9-10 weeks between DOS and USCIS which is a bit more reassuring.

HHS application - Late October
Documents received on DOS website - Early November
HHS approval - End of March
DOS approval - This week, not updated on website yet. Did not get an email, just update from lawyer. DOS approval took 7 weeks to be exact.

DOS received on website: 02/17/26
HHS approval letter dated: 05/18
Not appearing on website, only updated by the lawyer.
Now I am drinking a bottle of champagne to celebrate 🥂🍾
They are still asking for us to actively speak to congress members on this issue

Have been in contact with lawyers who state they haven’t received a recommendation yet

Seems like it’s a silent week :( for those of you with start date of July or August what does your employer say ?
At this point DoS is taking 3 months which is outrageous. Most of us with July start dates won’t be able to make it even if their waivers came back in Feb. What are the options to mobile DoS and have the same kind of response from DoS?
Coming from someone whose HHS is still pending. Filed 2/11. In April portal showed that the docs were received in the middle of Feb. Having HHS soon doesn’t even feel like a win anymore, given that you wait for that to happen and then wait it in line for another 3 months.

For those who got approved for J1 extension for boards, how long does it take to actually receive the updated DS2019? ECFMG said they would send it electronically, how does that work?
