TIL that Jake is officially no longer with the band. Knew he was away for personal reasons, but didn't catch the band made it official on 7/7/26.
Jake is an amazing guitar player, but Brendan suits my ear better.

Jamcruise 23 preview.
moe. sounding absolutely delicious right now.
What I mean are cruises that appear to be designated for specialty events and such. Like music bands (varying genres) who advertise a cruise with a cruise line for <x> dates and invite their fans to come along and join them.
Or a dive shop invites everyone to book a cruise with them for <x> cruise line on <x> dates.
Or even a comedian or entertainer says "hey come along with us on this cruise with <x> cruise line to Alaska!"
Or even at a conference center where an event is going on, I'll see ads for cruises with specific groups of speakers and classes and such.
Are these "specialty" voyages actually independent of a cruise line's main schedule for a year, like a charter? Or is it merely just another cruise on the schedule, it's just the one that group happens to be signed up to be part of the entertainment for?
I was always curious about that when I would see those ads at a concert, show, or venue. Are the amenities and services pretty much the same as a "normally scheduled" cruise if they're truly independent?

Shout out to SCI and their Jamcruise ties. Their management, Madison House, helped conceptualize and coordinate the early Jamcruise years. Billy & Kyle have been individual performers along with Leftover Salmon.
Enjoyed the Trampled songs I caught last night. Them boys play fast & that I do appreciate. The style reminded me a bit of The Avett Brothers. Bet everyone would love to see Tedeschi & Trucks on the ship someday as well.
