I wonder if I will get more responses posting on here rather than on the larger subreddits. I've been reading lots of complaints about long lines and there being not much to do at the "convention" part of KCON. Also the whole experience being overpriced, but in this economic climate, that is to be expected. Reading these makes me disheartened. How can you mess up a K-pop themed convention in a city with such a strong Asian culture?

After I noticed how they changed the VIP barricade sections to being split in three instead of two like previous years, I didn’t even try Artist Stage. We went in for a minute during P1harmony on Saturday, but we were so far back it didn’t seem worth it. The last few years having two sections seemed so far, so I doubt I’ll be satisfied in GA.

For those of you that went to Artist Stage in the GA section, was it worth it? Was being barricade in GA better? Did members come and interact with that barricade?

Festa queuing system was horrible and degrading. So many rude staff it’s so unacceptable. This cannot happen again next year. Please voice your concerns to OLIVE YOUNG US Customer Service

They also have an official 1:1 inquiry option through their customer-service site. They need to improve because it had potential!! Still enjoyed it regardless but the staff were so rude it was insane.

genuinely every stage performance and at the mnet concert, i was assaulted by the foul odor of another's body. lets normalize showers and REAPPLYING deodorant throughout the day. thank you to all the other lovely kconers that practice personal hygiene regularly.

Did anyone else experience racism at the rom&nd booth? The lady letting in people kept telling us the queue was closed but would let asians in. The entire line was asians, no other demographic. It wasnt until another lady called her out where she let other people in. Had many things happen but this was one of them. Anyone else have a problem like that?

I recently made a post asking for tips for my first time at kcon. I went on Saturday and let’s just say it was a disappointment and I just wanted to share the experience.

I had seen all the videos about what a nightmare it was to get inside the convention due to the line and yeah it took me almost 3 hours to get inside and I got in the line at around 8:40 am. That’s something that I can get over but it was inside that was disappointing.

Unless you have VIP the artist stage is just not that worth it you’d be better off going to the mcountdown stage at night. All interactions occur for those in vip barricade for example there was a dance challenge game and the same girl got it twice (no hate towards her she deserved it because the whole barricade was dead and wouldn’t dance 💀) but I don’t understand how they can’t figure out a way to let other fans who are not vip barricade be part of the little dance games they were doing. Technically GA/premium also has a barricade section so the game could still work. I was there for illit’s and yeonjuns artist stage and they did this game a couple of times picking from the same row of people by the third time it was just awkward seeing them pass the camera there again and no one wanting to dance or be in camera 😭💀. If you are short forget it you can’t see anything and the screen is really small. Again this is something I can get over because I can still see some glimpses of the artist and enjoy the music.

What I can’t look past is the actual convention itself which is basically just a Korean skin care convention with no other activities or booths to see/do. All you do is just wait in line to get some freebies and that’s all you can do all day might as well be linecon. I think I just had a different expectation I thought there would be maybe some mixture of beauty and skincare with local vendors with cool kpop merch or something maybe some activity or photo op. I did see there was a kpop merch booth but for kpop being such a big part of the convention it barely made an appearance in the booths.Upstairs was olive young festa but again it was just endless lines that never seemed to move when you went downstairs it was less lines and much more enjoyable but still it was just skincare booths. Ik music den stage was happening and I watched that for a bit but the vendors/booths were just so disappointing it got boring real quick just looking at skincare 😭. The 2 booths I did see that were not skincare was just overpriced drop shipping stuff🫩

The food was a whole other thing for such a big convention and only having 2 food options (I’m not counting the other 2 because those were more dessert things) is crazy. The lines were so long people were sitting down on the floor and waiting I’ve never seen that 💀

Now I just have a question: when there is no olive young festa what is that floor filled with? Is it similar to the downstairs where it’s just booths of skincare or how do the booths differ? Just wondering if maybe I missed out on some things that would usually be there but aren’t because of the olive young festa or something 💀

Sorry for the long post but I’ve been a kpop fan for 13 years and obviously Kcon is always hyped up so now that I finally got to go it was just a bit disappointing 😭

I had an absolutely terrible experience at Kcon yesterday, and I missed Yeonjun's artist stage. I'm really not sure what's a better way to complain besides boycotting and sending an email to their questions/ contact us email, if it'll even help at all, but I did, and I'm encouraging anyone who has also had a bad experience to do the same. I really wish people would stop supporting this con, as it really feels like they're treating us like cattle and not caring whatsoever about respecting what we paid for, at least, that was my experience yesterday. I hope everyone can wrap up this third day as best as you can :,,) and stay safe!

not sure if this happened to anyone else but we got d2 resell two days ago, was supposed to get it transferred by 5 yesterday and we kept calling both stubhub and axs and the final result was we can’t help you and just refund it whole. i was devastated :(!! i cried and just went to a restaurant outside the concert but it was a bunch of other girls too who had the same if not similar issue ..

they dont let you record it anymore?? when i went in 2024 they allowed recording as much as you want. its even the photo for my kpop account that's how much i loved the recording.

unbelievable to pay $660 for VIP premium and you dont even get to record one of the important fan interactions you get as a benefit. do better kcon 👎

i know it’s already 3 pm so i might be out of luck here but i did resale through axs for the seat: section 102 row 10 seat 4 (one ticket) and it’s at $245 but i’ll honestly lower it n negotiate because i decided not to go n can’t make it. it won’t let me go lower than $245 but i can sell it for $245 and then send the difference back if i sell it for lower. if anyone is interested, let me know. it’s directly through axs and everything!

I accidentally got 2 seats for tonight’s M Countdown, one is in PR14 and one is in PR11, which seat should I use? Are they restricted from each other, like if I scan in one will I be able to take a look at both and then choose?
