Did someone hear from American College or Mgr. Karel Cruysberghs?
I've applied to both of these residences but haven’t received a response yet. I just wanted to check that I’m not missing anything.

Hello! Has anyone stayed at the Marist House of Studies (MHS) at Diestsesteenweg 488 in Kessel-Lo? I would love to hear any feedback about the room quality, management, and what the daily commute is like. Thank you!
Hello, i had a question which has been bugging me for days now.
So, for info, i am a non-eea student, and i spent one year at KuL BBA and obtained 12 credits, which led me to transfer this year to Odisee’s BBM, in which i have obtained 10 credits so far from the first semester, alongside being exempted from one second year course worth three credits.
I saw recently that in order for you to be able to stay at Belgium, you need to get 45 credits in two years. Now what i’m wondering is, if i switched my uni, does that reset the two year limit? Or do i really need 45 credits this academic year?
Because i know some friends who studied 2 years KUL then went Odisee, but i still wanted to ask eitherway just to make sure.
Thank you in advance for your help!
For my thesis survey I am looking for anyone who is self-employed, entrepreneurs or work in SME in Belgium, it takes around 2/3 minutes and the questions are about your opinion on website content
> The website where you want to surf to is currently unavailable because this website is listed on a list of phishing, spam and other malafide websites.
What's up with that? This site definitely does not match that description.
I found a dorm in Leuven for next academic year and rent includes everything except internet. How much should I expect to pay monthly, and which providers would you recommend?
Hey, all!
You’re probably tired from seeing questions like this, but please hear me out.
I’m scheduled to enrol in a masters programme this September, and looking for housing has been a pain mainly because no one is responding when I try to contact them. Since a few weeks ago, I’ve browsed through Kotwijs and Immoweb, applied to at least 15 different properties, and so far received a grand total of 3 responses effectively turning me down.
Is this normal for everyone else? If not, can someone please tell me what I’m doing wrong? Am I just not aggressive enough? Should I WhatsApp them instead of using email? Does it have anything to do with the fact that I’m a non-EU/EEA citizen?
I’m getting very worried, as rent prices go higher and higher as time goes on, so any help would be nice.
Thanks in advance!
I was wondering if someone knew where I could meet people that like birdwatching, wildlife photography etc, or if anyone reading this would be interested.
I know it might already exist some groups but the only ones I found looked way above my age 🧍
So if you have any recommendation I would appreciate ! (Also I might be in the wrong thread, I'm not used to reddit yet :'))
Board game experts needed! (3-5 min survey)
For my thesis, I am designing an educative board game. I need your opinion on the layout, art, and mechanics (like upgrades and crisis events).
Voor mijn thesis design ik een educatief bordspel. Ik heb je eerlijke korte mening nodig voor visuals

Hey everyone, I’ve just received an offer from Leuven for the Bachelor of Business Administration. I was wondering if there is a group chat for this program? Appreciate any tips 😊
This school year was my first year at KU Leuven, and I kind of neglected making friends because I wasn’t very interested in it at the time. Toward the end of the year, I became closer to my classmates, but I wish I had met more people outside my faculty (Theology).
Is there a group chat or any events I can attend? I’m 21 and grew up in Belgium, so if there are any events with other Dutch speakers, I’d love to join. I’m also open to meeting international students, although my English isn’t the best.
My wife has been accepted for a PhD student position and we want to move to Belgium.
We are both non-EEA citizens. Is it possible for me to obtain a work permit, and if so, how? I would be very grateful if anyone with experience could share their thoughts!
Hi, I will start my masters in Law at KUL next academic year. I applied for a dorm at Stuvo. I had listed the ones nearby the Law faculty, but got studentenwijk Arenberg. Is it a good idea for me to accept this dorm? Does anyone have experience in Arenberg?
I am an international student and I will be moving to Leuven in September for my masters. I have a little cat who I love more than anything, and there is no way in hell I’m moving countries without my little bestie, She is very calm, clean, and friendly. All she does is sleep, cuddle, eat, and sleep some more, She would cause absolutely zero problems but of course landlords aren’t so willing to allow pets, regardless of the situation. I have checked at least 20 places that told me pets are not allowed, no exceptions.
I understand not wanting a pet who will go in and wreck shit but this kid just sleeps all day. Has anyone been able to rent out a student dorm/kot with a cat? Any resources? Hell, I would even be willing to find a small apartment to share with someone to avoid the stricter student housing rules, but of course going to a foreign country where I know nobody I don’t know how I would go about that. I even been checking facebook groups to see if anyone is looking for a roommate but no luck so far. My budget is around $600 which makes most private studio apartments or whatever a little out of my price range.
If anyone has any advice, please let me know. I will consider any suggestion as long as my baby gets to come with me.
I'm going through the process of applying to Belgium for study visa, and tearing my hair out. I'm applying by mail, and I've got an issue with the medical certificate. My doctor (non-affiliated, not on the official Belgium authority list) who signed is a DO, not a MD. Is there anybody who has any experience or knowledge about if this is a deal breaker for the New York Consulate? They are genuinely not responding to any of my emails, and it's really frustrating. Thanks so much, in advance.
I got an offer at JL Vibes, I have to reply by 19th May, on the other hand I applied to Stuvo residence too, for which the application ends on Monday and idk when will they roll out about their residence admits.
For now, am just looking for some reviews regarding JL vibes.
I got a single room, worth 557euros.
I have been reading about some really nasty shared bathroom experiences, they scare me the most!
Hi everyone!
For my bachelor's thesis at KULeuven, I am conducting research on the Belgian beer market, specifically focusing on the brand Tout Bien. I am very curious to find out how young adults in Flanders perceive this brand compared to the traditional breweries.
Are you between 18 and 35 years old and do you live or study in the region? You would help me tremendously by filling out my short survey (it only takes about 3 minutes!).
You can find the questionnaire here:

Thank you very much in advance for your help!

I'm a first year chem student at KU Leuven, currently on another campus. However, next year I will join other students in Leuven. I've been thinking of joining a student association, but I'm not sure if it's really "for me".
On the one hand, I'm excited to meet new people and join the activities.
But I also think it will be way too demanding. I don't have a good perception about it, but I feel like it's only drinking and going to cantusses. I'm someone who really hates excessive drinking, definitely if it's beer.
What kinds of things do you even do in a student club besides that? I'd love to know more. Does it also really depend on which faculty?
I'm thinking of just having social contacts at kot, but I struggled to form good friendships this year because they all did different studies. I'm not so sure if this will be the same in koten at KU Leuven, I'm going to Studentwijk Arenberg if that helps.
Hello everyone, I am a 21f student and I will be starting my Master’s at KU Leuven this September. I wanted to ask if there is an active Muslim community in Leuven, and whether there are halal grocery stores or restaurants nearby.
I would also appreciate advice on which areas or neighborhoods are good for renting a room or apartment, especially in terms of being close to both the university and the community.
Thank you in advance for any recommendations or advice!
