Pre-4th deliciousness on my Primo

4 hour brine salt water and garlic with a rub of smoked paprika, dry mustard, onion and garlic powder, red pepper, black pepper, and dark brown sugar. Wrapped with 2 pieces of bacon per breast. Used Jealous Devil chunx and hickory. Used my FireBoard controller, etc to manage cook. Smoked at 225 until 163 was reached, about 3 hours. Let them rest for 20 minutes. Added BBQ sauce at temp 158. Moist and delish!!!

Cracks in tile - help

We were lucky enough to pick this grill up for free about 3 years ago (so unsure of how old the unit is) but last year we noticed a small hole releasing steam and the outside was no longer cool to the touch while grilling. This year the crack is noticeably larger. Has anyone repaired one by themselves? Any recommendations on products/procedure?

My first Kettle

Hey, I think I’ve found what looks like a Kettle Joe on Facebook Marketplace (picture incl).
I’m pretty new to charcoal grilling and kamado-style setups, so I’m not totally sure what to look for yet. The seller is asking 100$ cad, does that seem like a fair price for a used one in this condition?
Also, are there any common issues or hidden problems I should check before buying? And are there worthwhile upgrades or mods people usually do with this model?
Any advice would be appreciated!
Cheers!

Aldi Kamado Grill Repairability

Hi all,

Would appreciate some enthusiastic advice on this one. We were fortunate enough to pick up an 18" Aldi Kamado Grill for £250. Unfortunately after assembly we found that it had a fairly substantial crack in the side that goes all the way through the side.

The manufacturers don't have any replacement units, so it's either, get it returned, or get a hefty discount and try and repair it ourselves with some fire cement.

My question is, if we get a £150/£200 refund, is this bbq still going to work given the crack? Is a repair feasible? Would it ever be at 100% efficiency?

Would it better to return it and buy a £500 similar bbq from elsewhere?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
