Here’s a personal story.
At the beginning of the year, I had three cats, and two of them died of cancer (both males; our female tuxedo is still alive). When I spoke to the vet who treated them, he told us that both developing cancer around the same time wasn't a coincidence, but it wasn't our fault either—it was the food we were feeding them. I can't describe the pain of losing two such young, beloved cats, so I made it my mission to ensure that never happened again. While looking for healthy food options, I realized that most kibble, treats, and even canned wet food contain artificial additives and fillers that are harmful to cats. So, I spent months developing an app that uses a database and AI to read food labels; it tells you exactly what’s inside and whether or not the product contains harmful fillers. I’d love for everyone to use it so no one else has to lose a loved one for this reason. I won't lie—the app isn't free, as I have to cover server costs, cloud databases, and other expenses—but I can assure you I’ve made it as affordable as possible. There’s a plan for $14.99 a year—which works out to $1.24 a month—and while I sometimes have to absorb some of the costs myself, that’s just part of the process. If you're interested, the app is called *Kira AI: Pet Food Score*; for now, it's only available on iOS. I hope this helps someone.
