Knoxville Toll Bypass Public Meetings: June 29, 30, July 1

I-40/I-75 West Knoxville Corridor PEL Study for Knox, Anderson, and Loudon Counties

West and North Knox county, Farragut, West Hills, Bearden, Anderson County, Oak Ridge, Clinton, Norris, Loudon County, Lenoir City all within the study area for new TDOT Development. The project looks to involve eminent domain decisions for a proposed toll bypass through Solway, Karns, and Powell, and the public meetings are happening now.

Knoxville Before Urban Renewal

This is an interesting Instagram page. From this pic it looks like Knoxville could have had a linear creekfront park on the eastern edge of downtown (along First Creek), but we paved over the area instead.

Upgrades are coming as Knoxville continues to 'invest in the Sunsphere'

I wish one of these upgrades includes lighting all around the tower. I’ve actually never understood why lighting hasn’t been added in the 44 years this structure has existed
