Third Way vs. DSA: Corporate Democrats declare war on socialism | Centrist Dems have found their enemy, and it isn’t Trump.

The sentencing of Bogdan Syrotiuk and the fraud of the “war for democracy” in Ukraine
On August 10, a court in the city of Pervomaisk in southern Ukraine sentenced Bogdan Syrotiuk—a 27-year-old socialist and leader of the Trotskyist Young Guard of Bolshevik-Leninists—to 15 years in prison for “high treason” for calling for the international unity of Russian and Ukrainian workers against war.
Bogdan has been convicted of a thought crime, in a ruling that blatantly violates international human rights law and the European Convention on Human Rights. The charge rested on the antiwar articles Bogdan published on the World Socialist Web Site and on his opposition to the Ukrainian government’s glorification of Nazi collaborators.
The very statements cited in the ruling make clear that he was an opponent of the Russian invasion of Ukraine and called on workers and young people in both Russia and Ukraine to oppose it. The verdict cites his “comparisons with fascists and Nazis” and his “reinterpretation of national heroes and historical figures”—explicitly citing as evidence his denunciation of the Nazi collaborator Stepan Bandera, whose movement participated in the Holocaust.
The savage treatment of Bogdan and the kangaroo-court character of the proceedings explode the official narrative that has dominated the governments and media of the United States and Europe: that Ukraine is an embattled democracy, fighting to defend freedom against an unprovoked invasion. The prosecution of Bogdan exemplifies the real state of affairs in Ukraine.
The Ukrainian state has outlawed left-wing politics and suppressed all independent political and trade union activity. In March 2022, the government of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky suspended 11 opposition parties and merged the major national television channels’ news into a single state-run broadcast. That June, the courts banned the largest opposition party in parliament. Strikes are prohibited under martial law, and wartime labor legislation has suspended collective agreements and stripped basic protections from the majority of the workforce. Elections have been suspended since Zelensky’s own term expired on May 20, 2024. He rules by decree.

Letter of an 18 years old full of rage
First of all, I'll ask you two things: please take your time to read until the end and share it, not just on another sub or as a republication on another platform, but printed it and spread it all around the world.
Yes, it's totally selfish, but sometimes selfishness is good for yourself and I think that if you can take care of your soul, you can care of everyone properly.
2026 has been a terrible year for the proletaria, me included. A few months ago, I felt tired of this stupid world with severe suicidal ideas and a constant sadness inside.
But with this summer, I'm not sad anymore;
I'm angry
I'm angry against these people who've destroyed this world out of profit and created us what we called an "everyday life" which consist of enslavement of the population for the shitty tasks while they rape kids peacefully.
The worst part is that with all this money, these people thinks they're God and now want to impose their ill vision of this world.
I'm also angry against these corrupt politicians who say they're with the people but are unable to understand because they're rich and are like "Hey, you chose me so I can do what I want." SHUT THE FUCK SON OF THE BITCH, WE CHOSE YOU BECAUSE LIBERAL DEMOCRATIE DOESN’T LET US THE CHOICE. Also, they want to decide the population for having the total control of us... I'm so sick of it.
The truth is I want to live a wonderfull life, full of discovers and creativity and while sharing good time with my love ones.
I don't wanna work for nothing, I don't wanna endure climate change, I don't wanna live in 1984 nor in WW3
SORRY BUT I DON’T DIE !!!! I'M A FUCKING HUMAN AND I DON’T WANT YOUR WORLD !!!!
Now I said that, the question is:
WHERE ARE THE FUCKING PEOPLE ?!?!??!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?¿?¿
I mean, I know I'm not alone but everyone is a fucking coward. Like... HELLO ? I WON'T CHANGE THINGS ALONE !!!!!! You all are like "this world suck ! We need change" but when ? Where ? With what organization ? WHY ARE WE FUCKING AFRAID OF A FEW PEOPLE ????? WE'RE 8 BILLIONS !!!! IT'S PEOPLE WHO MAKE HISTORY !!!!
With this letter, I want to manifest change, I want you to do something, not just for me or youth, but for YOURSELF so, for everyone !
I want a revolution, I want disorder, I want disobeyance... no, WE WANT ALL OF IT !!! FOR US !!!!!!! BECAUSE WE ALL WANT TO LIVE INSIDE !!!!
Please, do it, for the better !!!
I want to live !
A New South African Socialist Project – Introducing r/RedVanguardSA
Hello comrades,
I’m working on a long-term political discussion project based in South Africa called Red Vanguard South Africa, and I wanted to share it here to get feedback from other Marxist, communist, and left-wing perspectives.
The aim is not to copy existing movements but to develop a South African socialist framework grounded in material conditions, anti-imperialism, and working-class power while drawing from broader Marxist traditions.
The core direction of the project includes:
Economic Structure
Expansion of worker cooperatives across key industries
Public ownership of strategic sectors (mining, energy, transport, land, infrastructure)
Local beneficiation and industrialisation instead of raw material export dependency
Planning-oriented economic development with social priorities
Class & Employment
Strong focus on full employment through state-led infrastructure and industrial projects
Large-scale public works programs and skills development
Apprenticeships, vocational training, and youth employment pipelines
Strengthening working-class organisation and workplace democracy
Social Programs
Universal access to housing, healthcare, and education
Expanded social protection systems (including basic income discussions)
Strong public health infrastructure and preventive care systems
Support systems for elderly, disabled, and marginalised communities
Political Structure
Deepened democratic participation at community and workplace level
Strong anti-corruption systems and transparent procurement
Community oversight of public institutions
Integration of workers into decision-making structures
Environment & Development
Sustainable industrialisation with environmental protection
Clean energy transition and infrastructure renewal
Public sanitation, water security, and ecological restoration
Cooperative-based agriculture and food sovereignty
Internationalism
Anti-imperialist foreign policy outlook
Support for liberation and anti-colonial struggles globally
Strong Pan-African cooperation and regional solidarity
South–South cooperation between developing nations
This is still a developing framework, and I’m specifically looking for serious Marxist critique, theoretical feedback, and practical critique of feasibility rather than surface-level agreement or disagreement.
