Are Leviton 24 Hour Programmable Timers (VTP24) incompatible with dimmable bulbs?

I recently changed 6 bulbs in 2 lamp posts that were controlled by the programmable timer switch. If I just manually turn these lights on, they illuminate for 4 or 5 seconds and then turn off. More and more bulbs are dimmable these days. Due to the positioning/height of these lamp posts it would be a major hassle to change the bulbs again. I was thinking about just changing the switch to a regular dimmable switch but read a thread that said those dimmable switches are good for up to 4 bulbs and struggle with 6. I understand that a dimmable bulb wouldn't be able to be dimmed with a simple on/off switch but I don't understand why these bulbs wouldn't just illuminate fully with the 24 Hour Programmable Timer.

Software Idea: Bond Switches

In the Leviton Smart switches- since they are WiFi enabled and mains powered it would be really interesting if you could bond via software two switches. So for example if one switch is on, the other in another room will turn on too.

Like a virtual three way BUT able to be used on different circuits.

Just a thought thinking you have the robust connectivity, power and compute.
