I’m trying to get a raspberry pi 3b+ to connect to my Mira 9 laser but it will not be recognized by my laptop. I can’t find the correct network to join so that I can connect to it through lightburn. I’ve emailed support and they’re helping but they’re slow and I was hoping to find some quicker answers. I’ve reflashed the micro sd card three times and still nothing. I’ve created a text file titled “wifi.txt” with the network information on it but that doesn’t seem to help. Has anyone done this? Can you help me please?
Hi all playing with my laser marking using lightburn and I’m getting a weird artifact half way through marking anyone got any ideas?
I purchased Lightburn in April 2023 and use the program about twice a year.
Today, I launched it again and suddenly got a message saying that my license had expired and something about a trial period.
When I entered my license, a message appeared saying that it had already expired? But I was still able to use the program.
Whenever I’m asked if I want to upgrade to the new version of Lightburn, I always click “No” to just stick with the old version.
Is this a known issue?
Can someone provide me with a good place I can find libraries? At this moment I'm looking for a library that has a variety of accents like corners, borders, and lines. Similar to this kind of stuff
I have a OMTech 130W laser. I’m trying to engrave an image on a piece of mirror acrylic that’s the size 35” x 23”. The issue I’m having is when I make my adjustments to the image so it looks correct under the “preview” section, then I go to scale up the image to the correct size and then I click “preview” again, the preview runs almost completely black. I’ve tried so many adjustment variations such as contrast, gamma , brightness, enhance radius, all the image types, DPI, and nothing works when it’s blown up to that size. Ive also messed around with the trace image feature and it doesn’t give the effect I’m looking for. What is weird is whenever I try the image type “Greyscale”, the preview comes out perfect, BUT when I go to engrave it looks nothing like the preview and the engraving turns out very dark. I’ve even tried to adjust the size in Adobe Illustrator and then export/import to Lightburn and I’m still having these issues. It seems like no matter what I do, I cant engrave a picture that large onto acrylic, or any material for that matter. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. I would say don’t bother to suggest any setting changes to the above mentioned because trust me Ive already tried nearly every variation. I feel like this should be possible but at this point I don’t know.
What would cause my laser module to move reliably by set distance, but not by continuous jog? I’ve been having crazy problems with my laser this week. It’s an xtool D1 with extension rails, controlled by a Devil1 controller. I’ve had some projects ruined because my module will randomly not move to the correct location. In my troubleshooting I’ve discovered that I can reliably move the module anywhere in the work area by using the move buttons set to a certain distance, but if I try to use continuous jog the module will move some distance and then just stop. When it stops I can switch off continuous jog and it will move properly by set distance. What would cause my module to move reliably by fixed distance but not by continuous jog?
