Sex after lipschutz

Hello everyone, I wanted to come on here and maybe ask for some advice. I had my first outbreak of lipschutz ulcers 3 months ago in February. The ulcer on my left side was very large, about 3 cm big and took a chunk out of my labia minora and there is a very obvious scar there. Me and my boyfriend tried to have sex for the second time and I am still in so much pain when we try. I’m getting really sick of this and whenever I go to the doctor they tell me to just let it heal on its own and that the vaginal tissue is very sensitive so I just need to wait. After doing more research I’m getting more nervous because I read that if it takes longer to heal then it can point to other diseases such as Behçet’s disease.

So has anyone had an outbreak that took 3 months or more to heal/have no pain from? I might go to the doctor again if it doesn’t get better after 4 months. If anyone has experienced what I’m going through I would love to hear your story.

Scar tissue?

Hi guys,

I (19 F) recently (about 2 months ago) had my first occurrence of lipschutz ulcers. I self diagnosed only because I had textbook presentation- kissing ulcers, excruciating pain and issues urinating, viral prodrome, not recently sexually active, etc etc. Anyways, this past week I’ve noticed very slight discomfort/mild pinching feelings in the exact spot where the first ulcer formed, and am now super anxious about having a recurrence so soon after the first. Upon inspection, there does seem to be some slight damage (?) to the tissue- kind of like a bit of broken/torn skin maybe? I’m not sure how else to describe it. It’s not red or gray or black, it’s a tiny spot of whiteish flesh, almost like how I’d imagine your cheek looks after accidentally biting on it.

I was wondering if anyone could describe what their scar tissue looks like if they have any? It’s been about a week of me being hyper aware of this discomfort, which is already much longer than the initial timeline of them developing the first time, so I’m not sure if I just accidentally irritated the scar tissue wiping or cleaning. I stopped checking the ulcers’ progression once the pain subsided, so I don’t know if I’ve had this little spot of tissue or if it’s new. Sorry this is long, I’m just very scared this is going to come back and I feel like there aren’t many resources to learn about this from. Any help would be appreciated, thank you!
