Honest opinions…
How often do you rewatch the show? All seasons? Specific episodes?
I finished yesterday and have spent all day today watching other stuff but can’t get it out of my mind. Even changed my wallpaper 😂 and am thinking is this gonna be like a weekly routine for me now 😂😂
Ps this is my home screen wallpaper 😍
Is it love?
A friend raised a point that it’s hard to root for Louis and Lestat mainly because of season 1 and Louis endlessly saying that Armand was the love of his life and namely actually saying the words ‘I love you’ to him. He also never really showed the same love to Lestat if at all.
I explained that this is from Louis perspective and there is so much wrapped into his thoughts and feelings and his is an unreliable narrator.
Do you think also hearing Lestat’s side at the trial made Louis realise his part in the downfall of their relationship?
Just wanted your lovely lots POSITIVE opinions on why it is love and despite the toxic AF relationship in season 1 we should be rooting for them 💜
Jam Reiderson cape off.
Icb no one post this clip yet😭
Louis loves showing off his husband
He was so happy in this scene!

The moment Lemuel realized …
That he maybe didn’t have a clue what he had signed up for! 😹
For Louis lovers!
He's so cute in his red suit!
its so clever how they picked the locations for the show.s
they picked New Orleans for series 1 and 2 obviously for anne rice but also for the rich black community there (i think) and for the vampire's but also they picked it for the music and louis story-line.
i never been to New Orleans but it seems quite relaxed and jazz like and a place where you could go to a cafe and have a drink and sit outside and just people watch you know.
also i liked how louis went back there and went on a "tour" of the place where basically he lived as the show knew what it was abut and was like "yes a vampire had live here , now here is a tour" i found it funny.
like the show knows what it is and isn't afraid of making fun of its self.
because in the 1994 film louis is a white man who owns / is in the sl*ve (slave) business and obviously they changed that for the tv show because it in the tv show louis is black and it is not ok today to be in that kind of business also because Louisiana has a deep history of that kind of business and Louisiana was one or if not the main place where they filmed series 1 and 2.
also one of the gentleman clubs with lady's that louis and i think lastest set up together (i think I could be wrong on that) has a jazz singer and jazz paino in it.
So someone changed Lestat's clothes, including shoes
When he wakes up on the bus in the TVL finale. Who did this? My headcanon is that it was Louis. In reality it was probably Gabriella (thinking about it makes my skin crawl). But I'm imagining them waiting for Louis to wake up himself just to ask him to change Lestat's clothes and put him in his favorite Yojhi Yamamato sweater.
Which Loustat song you love the most? Come To Me or Brutal Love?
Or you love both equally? In conjunction with Brutal Love hitting 1 million streams, I just want to know my fellow loustaters favourite loustat song(s) 😁
Or Maybe It Was Him?
I'm going to keep a candle burning that Louis is just out of frame in this moment.
When Lestat stops the recording and heads out to the balcony-I keep scanning the room for signs of Louis.
It crosses my head and heart at least once a day that they're sharing a coffin and hanging out in his & his robes. X
"Still Life" teaser trailer with our Jacob. 😍🥰
Let's be honest. I'll watch anything with Jacob in it. ☺️
I love you's
We see a lot of Lestat's reaction to the IWTV book in episode 1 of TVL. Especially the passages about Claudia on the train, Harlequin vs Lelio, the meaning of infinitesimal and whether it was raining or not. But, we don't see a reaction to Louis telling Armand that he loves him, both in Paris and probably through Daniel's telling of events in Dubai where Louis repeatedly says that Armand is the love of his life.
We are aware of how desperate Lestat is to hear that Louis loves him. Why don't we see how upset Lestat is to read the ease by which Louis says it to Armand? It would have been great to see that conflict and questioning of whether Louis ever loved him because he never said it. It might have been a bigger pay off for the TVL season finale when Paul shows up.
Don't get me wrong, I loved the finale and that scene with Paul in particular was my favorite. But it would have been nice to highlight that turmoil a bit, at least for Lestat. As an audience, we get that pay off with the events in the butchers scene where Louis clarifies the relationship with Lestat versus Armand. But Lestat is not privy to that conversation. Will he always think that Louis loved Armand?
I'm not sure what I am trying to get at here, just saying that it would have been nice for Lestat to consider how Louis behaved in his relationship with him versus Armand especially with how often he professed his love for Armand and complimented his lifestyle and care while being more critical of Lestat and his choices.
