Confirmed: The truth about the future of MAFS UK after false claims the show has been ‘axed’
I went to the link earlier and saw the 'article' was was \"axed\" - loving the irony.
Yesterday, it was falsely claimed that MAFS UK had been axed
Yesterday, The Sun reported that the next series of MAFS UK had been “axed” amid the allegations and review. The article claimed the series was set to air in September, but “Married at First Sight UK bosses have sensationally axed the show’s next series.”
It went on to say filming had completely wrapped, but just weeks later, the show was “canned”.
Channel 4 has confirmed the future of the show
Channel 4 has since told The Tab these claims aren’t true. In fact, no decision has been made about series six of the show, and a decision will not be made until the review into the show has been completed. For now, the show has been filmed, and that’s all.
A MAFS spokesperson told The Tab: “No decision has been made on the broadcast of MAFS UK series six. We have just announced an external review into contributor welfare on MAFS UK and we need to see what that finds before deciding what happens next.”

Hi everyone. Looking forward to seeing you all again tonight. :)
Married At First Sight: Channel 4 boss 'deeply sorry' over rape allegations
bbc.co.ukEveryone blaming the show when they should be blaming the men?
Is there a higher incidence of rape and sexual assault on MAFS than in the general population? Is this another case of putting the blame anywhere than where it actually lies? How could a show actually prevent what happened? Just a few things i’ve been thinking about. What’s you guys’s view?

Hi everyone! Last night was a heartwarming palate cleanser, after the conflict and dram of AUS.
Any predictions for tonight...?
Reports that the new MAFS UK 2026 series has been axed?
Granted with all the current claims going on it is not a good time for the show and investigations are required to understand what happened and why things went so wrong for some of those involved.
However how annoying must it be for the next cast to have given up time and just gone through the process (hopefully without any safety concerns) to find out that the show might never be shown.
Should MAFS call it a day?
I never thought I’d be saying this, but… is it time for MAFS to just call it a day?
I’m only up to the second dinner party, and I’m already kind of over it. It just feels really toxic this season. I get that drama is part of the show, but this doesn’t even feel entertaining — it’s more just uncomfortable to watch.
What I used to like about MAFS was that, even with all the chaos, there were moments where you could see genuine effort or actual feelings. Now it just feels a bit forced and negative.
Also, it really doesn’t feel the same knowing Mel is not with us anymore. She brought some balance and actually called things out in a way that made sense.
Maybe I’m judging it too early, and it gets better, but right now it’s not looking great. Anyone else feeling like this, or just me?

bbc.co.ukSpeculations on the panorama investigation
I’ve seen so many posts using different grooms faces and trying to pinpoint them to the assaults. It’s sooo disgusting and damaging to the innocent men.
With all the mental health crisis’ that have happened with reality tv stars, the public and the press should be doing way better.
They’ve got the wrong men on the main headlines for no reason.
I don't think MAFS should be cancelled but their safeguarding is atrocious
I watch MAFS and I love it. This latest season was great as was season 9. Australia season 13 was so good to watch.
From the get go there are already some very insanely nasty things that MAFS does. Intimacy week. Season 10 Intimacy week with Charlene was such a difficult watch and for someone who is an intimacy expert it is truly insane that intimacy week is not optional. Justice for Sarah.
What actual briefing do they give participants about consent? About rescinding consent? About pressure and coercion? About damaging notions of the idea of giving sex to your partner? I cannot bring myself to believe they do anything meaningful or comprehensive given the men they cast who want to terrorise bumholes. The vetting process needs to involve an in depth understanding of sexual preferences verified by an ex at least.
I read Shonas latest post and she said something that was honestly very disturbing. Her and Bradley were removed because they didn't feel it was a safe environment but then production told her to go be with him on the outside and offered to get them a hotel together to spend the night?
I think an ignorant understanding of consent, reality tv, and relationships in general will have people saying "well theyre grown adults so they knew what they were doing"
That is not how life works and people who hold this opinion should never work with people.
I'm not going to lie I think the experts have a huge amount to answer for and surely it's not a huge expectation that they should have been able to have some level of authority with production?
But no I dont want mafs to end. I really enjoy the show. I just think its actually insane what they've been able to get away with
Married at First Sight UK 'brides' say they were raped by onscreen husbands
bbc.co.ukDo we think there will be any investigations into MAFSAU now that these r*pe allegations have come to light in the UK?
Can’t be the only one thinking that if this happened in the UK version, surely the same has happened in Aus? Especially considering the UK have much stricter regulations with reality tele than Aus has… Been lots of mentions of violence/abuse/sexual misconduct throughout the years of Aussie MAFS - most recent on my mind is Sierrah from last year claiming to have been SA’d when she spoke on a podcast
MAFS on Panorama
Did anyone else just watch it? Honestly I feel absolutely sick.
Like, some behaviours from the guys and women have been horrible and sometimes very questionable, but I honestly didn't think SA would've been an issue.
It's really putting me off wanting to watch the UK show in future.
Anyone else?
