Anyone wanna transfer from CS AI to ADS? Reach out asap if yes

so i am from cse ai department and the faculty adviser asked us that there will be books for each semester for which we have to give 1000 rupees. But they would only give to first 30 people. so seniors out there , my roomate didnt make it to the top 30 , so is the book really necessary or can we get it in library or from online???
