But the West fell flat on its face come Matchday 14. For the second time this year, Minnesota got cooked, while first timers Portland and LAFC take an L from the East

What's the most common phrase or slang associated with US Soccer?

Every country I've visited, I have seen them develop some unique slang, phrases, or alliterations based on the game. For example, I recently came across a global soccer news/media page named "Plaantik". The name is a mispronunciation of "Penalty Kick".
