MA mpje

I failed my MA MPJE, and I used Pharm Law, PharmacyExam, and Gina. Please, any advice? I got 3 in the first two domains and 2 in the 3rd and 4th domains. My questions were very difficult. Is it okay to include an example of how a question was asked?

NJ MPJE how updated are the laws tested?

How updated will the NJ MPJE be in terms of changes to the law? For example, the change allowing schedule II CDS to be transferred one time for unfilled ADHD prescriptions?

I’m taking the NJ MPJE soon. Thank you!

Passed Cpje (3rd attempt)

Hi guys! Hope everyone’s studying is going well. I would like to come on here and say that I’m officially a licensed pharmacist in California! For those who are struggling with cpje, you’re not alone and don’t give up. The first two attempts I used PNN for law and clinical I didn’t pass. I did worse the second attempt and I decided that I need to change things around and get extra help I stumbled upon u/ChicagoDLSinc on Reddit and Dr. Singh helped me with my weak points and gave me helpful advice to emulate into my study routine. Knowing your brand and generics in this exam is KEY!. He would make me drill that into my head and would ask me follow up questions about a disease that we were discussing. He is very knowledgeable and wants his students to pass. He will assess your weak points and tell you whether you are ready to sit for this exam. I’m glad I found Dr. Singh and tutoring with him helped me in boosting my confidence. He makes sure you understand the material as opposed to just memorizing it. I know this exam is not the easiest, but don’t give up!! If something doesn’t work change your approach and ask for help if needed. In addition to tutoring, this third attempt I used rx prep book and read the book multiple times in its entirety. I also used PNN law book and cpje rx prep law book. I knew law was a weakness of mine so I made to prepare early. Goodluck to everyone studying for this exam! You got this!!

UMPJE

Update: I passed!! results were out on 4/21

Hello everyone! I took my UMPJE. One exam down, one to go!

I wanted to write this review for anyone preparing for it.

First things first: my state was one of the early adopters of the UMPJE, which was great news for me. I applied for eligibility immediately, and it literally took 2 days to get approved.

Once I gained eligibility, I purchased the exam right away. It costs $350, more expensive than the standard MPJE, and I scheduled it for April 2nd.

My prep strategy:

  • I purchased the UMPJE package from Pharmlaw . It includes a concise law summary and a question bank. Controls Brand/Generic names included AND watched Masterclass umpje on youtiube which filled the gaps Pharmlaw had. The videos are MCQs and cover a wide range of topics for free, some people even relied solely on them and passed so i highly recommend!

About the exam:

  • The questions were relatively easy, focusing mainly on federal laws and controlled substances. some questions were out of the blue as expected.

One pleasant surprise was that when I purchased the test, I received a coupon for a free pre-UMPJE because I was among the first candidates to schedule my UMPJE during the April 1–12 window. The actual exam was very similar in style to the pre-UMPJE, so I highly recommend taking it.

Some pointers for you,

  • DSCSA
  • DEA forms and their use
  • label and Rx requirements
  • controls ( their schedules, refills, expiry, inventory )
  • compounding hazardous
  • CPA
  • counseling and DUR requirements
  • Pharmacy techs and intern duties
  • pharmacist responsibilities in certain situations
  • inserts and Medguides needed for certain medications
  • pseudoephedrine sale limits and logs
  • HIPAA
  • adulteration and misbranding

If your state offers/will offer the UMPJE, I highly suggest taking it, that way if you move between UMPJE-adopted states you won’t have to retake it.

Good luck!

I hate this test, so i'm going to learn it, then tutor the crap out of it for cheap.. thoughts?

Edit: SORRY I DIDN'T MEAN I CAN TUTOR NOW LOL.

I don't know the rules here, I hope I'm not breaking any... I am just spitballing. I failed this test unfortunately, but i have tutored hundreds upon hundreds of students on 'harder' tests, but this test is just dumb hard. First, know that if you fail (like I did), it's probably not you, it's the test makers. Second, do you think people would be interested? Anyway, good luck to you all!

Most sufficient way to study for the MPJE without having to purchase anything?

I’ve passed the naplex and I’m looking for advice on how to pass the MPJE. I am in a financial bind right now and unable to pay for study resources at the moment. I am looking for advice on how to pass the MPJE without having to purchase anything. As of now, I am using the board of pharmacy website and TLDR. Thanks
