Kineo and St. Peters Fires

Both of these are on WATCH DUTY. I heard the sirens moving in the mountains. If you are interested and live in the Cheyenne Canyon and front range nearby you might be interested. My home is 5 Miles away. Be safe.

July visit

My husband and I are visiting in July. We are in our early 50s and enjoy moderate hikes, but I’m dealing with a foot injury that may limit my mobility. Are there bike trails/tours/rentals available that would allow me to do at least a bit of exploring? Probably e bikes as hubby is not much of a biker. Thank you so much!!!

Pike’s Peak Marathon spectating

Hi all, I’m a flatlander heading to the Springs in September to do the Pike’s Peak Marathon, so not very familiar with the Manitou area.

Looking for some advice for my dad, who will be spectating. I’m aware he can pay a couple bucks to drive up and see me at the summit, but I was wondering what other (more worthwhile for him) ideas there might be. It would be nice if he could hike in a little and see me twice, on my way up and back down, maybe at an aid station or something. He’d probably be up for a mile or two of hiking. I know there’s a spot where the Barr Trails nearly meets the Incline. But I can’t figure out if there would be any other convenient places for him to park and hike in from. I’m also not sure if the trail will be open to spectators that day.

Thanks in advance!

Where is the Fiber Internet?

Why-oh-why can't we get fiber internet over here in the lower Crystal Park Road / Crystal Hills area? Ok, I realize we are less densely packed than a few places surrounding this area and also lack alleys for easier distribution, but I can't be the only one who works a high tech job from home and would like the reliability of FTTH! Ironically I see the fiber lines on the poles outside that feed other things like Xfinity and DSLAM cabinets. Every time I see a commercial for fiber no matter who the provider is, I check their site for availability hoping that it sets off a flag for this area having requests. End of rant.

Reasonable resorts/hotels

Hey yall. I’m sitting here in smoke covered Pueblo and need to get the hell out for a bit. I’m on vacation at the end of July and am looking at going up to manitou for a few days to get away from… well, Pueblo. I’m looking for reasonably priced hotels, meaning not cheap but not super expensive either. Just need a pool and easy access to town. Spa services would be nice too. Anyone have any recommendations so I can start planning?

Stylist for long layers?

I have long straight hair that insists on being straight no matter what, so no waves or texture for me! With that in mind, can anyone recommend a stylist in or around Manitou who is good at doing long layers? I’m in desperate need lol. TIA!

Local artist looking for suggestions!

Good morning you fabulous folx! I’m looking for a bit of insight here. Many of you might know about my art vending machine, where I sculpt little critters like these and sell tokens for an old acorn candy/toy machine at local events. I’m trying to decide what new types of critters to make. If you were to get a piece from a machine like this, what kind of colorful animal would you want to see?
