Why This Doesn’t Feel Like Mario Galaxy

The Super Mario Galaxy Movie is finally here… and Nintendo went BIG. After the first Mario movie made over $1.36 BILLION worldwide, the sequel had massive expectations to live up to — especially with it taking inspiration from one of the most beloved Mario games ever made. And while the movie is an absolute blast filled with chaos, comedy, and some incredible moments, there’s one major problem… for a movie called Mario Galaxy, the “Galaxy” part barely feels explored at all. In this review, I break down everything the movie gets right, where it stumbles, and why I still had a genuinely great time with it despite its flaws.

Mario galaxy 1 and 2 storybooks (with new epilogue for Mario galaxy 2 story book)

I don’t believe it, they actually added an epilogue to the story book in Mario galaxy 2 as well as make the book cover white (probably to indicate it as a different book). I have to admit the epilogue for that was very beautiful and quite touching for a Mario galaxy fan like me since Rosalina is speaking to her past self. It’s also quite a fitting way to end the celebration of the Mario galaxy series and the 40th anniversary of Mario, especially with the Mario galaxy movie (which did pretty on it’s own with the general and even global audience, despite the criticism, with it also general $900 million, which isn’t much campared to the first movie, but it is a good sum of money). Anyways enjoy the two story books including the new epilogue for the second book.
