MARPE Front Angle Before + 3 Months Post Turning

Hey Guys! Here is a before and - 3 months post turning w/ aligners -selfie and regular photo front on/ slightly angled.

My initial opinions: I noticed my cheek bones are more prominent, nose bridge a bit wider and more centered and face looks shorter/wider and more structured. My eyes are further apart - they did not necessarily move away from the nose but the nose bridge widened to assist that. In these post photos I still have gaps and bonding in my teeth so my upper lip is unsupported and looks a little flat/weird. Doctor says we close gaps to move everything forward and up so this will look better and will also cover the gums. I am doing memory aligners for the next 1.5 - 2 years.

Since posting on Reddit I'm learning so much about other people's results, expectations etc so this is a very helpful community. Initially I got a little freaked out because after I stopped turning my face went crazy (see previous freakout posts lol) but it started slowly moving back into better placement after three months.

I’m a lot happier with the results here from the start - to when I was freaking out - but it still looks awkward and I’m optimistic the results will continue to get better.

Initial reasons for MARPE was narrow palate, cross bite, and to help mid face.

I have profile angles for the same time frame here: https://www.reddit.com/r/MARPE/s/AFvXopZwfr

please help lol

hi guys i’m in a weird situation and could really use some advice and or hear about others experiences? i got 4 screws placed on july 22nd. it felt like one of the screws drilled into my tooth or something bc it hurt so bad and around the screw was swollen.

2 days later i went back & they took it out and placed it in a diff spot. then i got the device but bone born (i have veneers so they couldn’t put it around my teeth)… everything seemed fine. this was july 29th

i felt as if that side was expanding more than the other. the last few days ive noticed that ive been getting pressure around that one tooth. turns out that specific tooth is tipping outwards like a lot. today it hurt to even turn it so i un turned it and now i have pain in that tooth.

what is happening? am i ruined? lol

also, it’s .20mm per turn. i turned it 2x at the office when i got it, then every other day since. then 2/3 days ago i started doing it daily. also, i am 30.

Orbital asymmetry

I have an appointment with Dr. Newaz in about a month and wondering if anyone has any knowledge/ experience with going into expansion with prior asymmetries and how they can be dealt with? I have zygomatic and mandibular asymmetries, but I’m most concerned about going into it with an orbital asymmetry (one eye higher than the other). I’m curious how this can be navigated, addressed, and potentially improved during the planning process. I haven’t seen any discussions with expansion providers talking about addressing orbital asymmetry so figured I’d ask here.
