Okay so at first Medal just refused to open. No matter how many times I'd click on the icon it wouldn't open- even in the Task Manager. I was trying to get it open so I opened the folder with the application... and then all of a sudden all my files in the Medal folder were gone. I tried clicking on the shortcut icon again- it started saying that the application the shortcut leads to doesn't exist anymore or was moved.
Whenever I press F8 even though the capture mode is set to game, it still records my screen. To my knowledge, it wasn't like that before. And if I try changing the capture mode to desktop, it just doesn't work. It gets stuck at "capturing...". What's going on?
I have a high end PC (NVIDIA 5080, Ryzen 7 9800X3D, 64GB ram).
Settings are set to 4k, 60 fps, 50M bitrate, 265 codec (i use HDR). I understand that settings warn its high but my PC should handle that, no? Also overwatch is always unbearably bright when clipping, even before i switched to medal idk why. Gonna have to try and mess with the calibration settings for that but if you have tips, Id appreciate them :)
Edit: fixed brightness, Apex Legends clips are smooth framerate, only overwatch clips look like that.
Recently, medal has been not allowing me to clip things. It will say 'saving' in the top right for a long time before just stopping. Does anyone have a fix or know why this is happening? This has happened across multiple different days and recording sessions.
hello, so a time ago, i remember using medal and saving bookmarks for me to trim videos later, and was at easy as click the bookmark and then you made a clip, but now i dont know how to do that, do I have to always use the editor for this? there is no option for ciping through sessions anymore? am I blind? should I stop playing valorant? (hate that game XD)
i had a couple hl2 clips i recorded a long time ago with the steam overlay but i wanted to upload them on my medal profile, is it even possible?
I dont think I can search on either the desktop app or the website with keywords, even if its a really common word like "funny" it will show servers, people, hashtags but the clips will say "No result found" is anyone else having this issue?

Hi all, my Medal is eating up my CPU's bandwidth no matter what I do. I set the encoder to GPU and it still takes up 20-30% of my CPU's processing power. Even when I'm not recording any games or my desktop, even with the recorder disabled, it still sits around 15%. My games run well enough, but the performance decrease is noticeable enough that it sometimes causes consistent stuttering when my CPU peaks, and I want to do as much as I can to decrease how hot my room gets. Would really like to know what I'm missing to fix this, or if it's a bug, or anything that might help.
For context, GPU is AMD RX 7700 XT and CPU is Intel i5 12400f.
Hi, i am new to Medal.TV to clip my kills in PUBG. I activated Auto Clipping for PUBG. Medal detect PUBG but is not clipping automatically. Even if i run PUBG in Borderless Window and activated Advanced Window Capture. Any advise?
been using medal for a while, trying to upload a clip like normal and its not allowing it. Don't know what happened, I have no more info or hints. Just after disabling overlay so the cutscene would look good this started. ALL clips wont upload. I tried reinstalling it so this is the newest version.

Hi, medal is picking up my teammates voices in chat just fine but it doesn’t record my voice when I have voice chat on
Is it possible to make it so when I turn on voice chat it records my voice as well?

When I first set up my Medal, I had 4 PTT keybinds set. I unset PTT for another game recording, and now I cannot set 4 keys for PTT.
I've tried repairing, I've restarted, and it's been an issue for a few days.
I need the 4 keybinds because something I need clips for requires all forms of audio and ive got to go between normal PTT and radio comms (2 different keys set for both)

Using the 9850X3D with the 9070XT. I have already turned on (and off, and on again) OpenGL triple buffering in AMD adrenalin settings, advanced window capture, and advanced window+experimental window capture in medal settings.
The Forge loading screen is fine, but the second the game itself loads, it's a cut to black, but game audio is still recorded. Please help!
I just noticed that my medal is not clipping my mic audio in valorant i reinstalled medal and valorant, and its still a problem any solutions?
why is steamVR considered a clippable game by default? i had VRChat literally tabbed in every time, i made sure it was always tabbed in :')
