Top comment Deletes a US State #45

Here is the updated (Correct) map, crisis averted. I thought we had a riot on our hands!

I can finally relax now after all that drama! Anyway Colorado is now deleted as it should be. Just to make it clear, editing comments is fine if it’s the top as long as it doesn’t change the outcome of which state gets deleted like we had before. I thought that was common sense but clearly not to some people.

I just want to thank everyone for all the kind comments and support. I try to read as many of the comments as I can but each post has a minimum of 2000 so it’s pretty hard most the time. I have some big ideas for the finale so stay tuned.

Most importantly, spread the word as much as possible if your state is still in the game! Share, cross post to rally as much support for your state as possible. This is the endgame now!

The great Wisconsin has been eaten. All remaining states stand a fighting chance against each other. Who will be gone next? Only 8 states remain…

I come with a peace offering

It is clear that the Great Lakes belong to Megasota. As a Marylander, I have no use for them. Previous attempts at colonization have proven futile as crabs do not breed well in freshwater.

That is why I am asking for an alliance. It appears as though Nuevo New Mexico will fall today. Tomorrow, we should finalize the destruction of Vermonster. The western half of course goes to you, Megasotans, while the eastern coast line goes to the Maryland Crab Army.

Are these terms acceptable? Provided they are, I will report to the other Marylanders immediately to notify the rest of our alliance.

Proposal from a Western New Yorker

I have no loyalty to the Vermonster, and while I'm currently in favor of Nuevo New Mexico, I would be fine with Megasota rule.

That being said, NNM is on the verge of collapse under the Kingdom of Hawaii. I firmly believe the reverse colonization angle will be far too strong, and they could be unstoppable if they are allowed to take NNM. My proposal is backing the idea of Hawaiian Independence, which is not far behind in votes. The alliance of NNM and Megasota should then be able to handily remove Cascadia, the Vermonster, and Maryland afterwards to set up a final, evenly matched showdown.

The Kingdom of Hawaii taking NNM leads to their inevitable victory. We must not allow it to happen, and this gets them out of the game entirely in a much more amicable way than removing them. Back Hawaiian Independence for the sake of Megasota, as well as saving the entire country from the spam invasion.

I’ve heard the calls…

Minnesota will be officially renamed to Megasota tomorrow! As this is the final stretch, do you want any other states renamed? Top comments on this post will decide on some other names for our final few states! (Excludes states which already have nicknames e.g Cascadia, Megasota, the Vermonter etc)

This one was suggested by u/rJohnandYoko who said all confederate states must go but since only 1 state can go I went with u/The_Mongrel_Tarants request to remove North Carolina as they were a confederate states so goodbye NC!

Remove One U.S. State or Canadian Province/Territory Each Day! — Day 60

Colorado has been eliminated! This is officially a battle between the Pacific Northwest and the Midwest!

I looked at the history of this sub and, by and large, Colorado is almost always the one that takes gold. Our top 4 is seemingly somewhat unique, especially with the inclusion of Michigan.

Who goes next?

(REMINDER: the subdivision that gets eliminated is decided by the most upvoted comment, not the amount of times that subdivision was commented. If you want a specific one out, see if someone else commented it first!)

Remaining

Michigan
Minnesota
Oregon
Washington

Nevada is the next to go.

I had to go through a load of comments and the one with the most upvotes that wanted a state removed said Nevada!

Just 20 states now remain with the largest being NM currently.

Thank you all so much for the continued engagement and support I can’t believe the last post got over 700K views! 🤯

I have a big finale lined up which will be very exciting. From my calculations, the big finale will be Monday, May 25th so not that much longer!

Also please only upvote the name of a state to the top otherwise it can get really hard trying to find the top comment that actually says a state name thank yall!

I can’t believe we’re gonna get railroaded by this coordinated attack!

13 mins before kickoff a nothingburger of a post calls out Minnesota for a 10 upvote post alerting a sub of 2k people of this contest. This is a coordinated attack on our sovereignty!!!

  1. every state has posts about this contest.

  2. this sub existed for YEARS. It wasn’t created as collusion

  3. if we are actually taken down from this, they will RUE THE DAY THEY TURNED THEIR BACK ON US.
