Happy for BC, sad for myself (a bit of a rant)
This is me kind of blowing off steam a bit.
I'm so happy to see BC getting all this work through CBS, he's talked about having to put his kids through college, he's talked about anxieties about the decline of MMA and with it his livelihood etc., I love the guy and I'm so happy to see him showing up on Embedded, doing stuff with Chael, having this great gig and, presumably, having these financial fears and woes assuaged.
But on the other hand, I'm so disappointed to see him now just doing these sterile corporate media hits and appearances and not being able to hear him ramble every week and talk about the NBA, music and just random shit in his own, unique, hilarious way and get inside the box with Rafe and gab about boxing in THEIR unique and weird way. I feel like I've lost so much and gained little with these formulaic, buttoned up media hits in which BC's unique personality is utterly wasted, because it has no room to express itself.
Anyway, like I said, just wanted to rant and get it off my chest.
