In 1962, a man from Yorkshire, England, named Brendon Grimshaw had enough of UK life, so he bought a small abandoned island in the Seychelles for just £8,000.
He moved there and became its sole inhabitant.
Over the decades, he planted 16,000 trees, built trails, and reintroduced wildlife - turning it into a paradise.
He was later offered $50 million for it, but he turned it down.
Brendon lived on Moyenne Island for nearly 50 years until his death in 2012.
