📖 quran.re — Read, listen to and follow the Qur'an (beta)

Assalamu alaykum 👋

I'd like to share a project close to my heart: quran.re, a website to read the Qur'an online, free and with no sign-up, on phone 📱, tablet and computer 💻.

🎯 The core idea

To showcase the 13-line (Indo-Pak) Mushaf — a version widely used for reading and memorisation, yet sadly under-represented online. The other editions usually get all the features; here, it's the star. And since every edition has "their own" mushaf, I've gathered several editions 📚 so each person can find the one they're used to reading.

• 📖 Read page by page, in single or double page

• 🎨 Pick from several editions (tajwid colours, etc.)

• 👆 Tap a verse to listen to it and see its translation

• 🎧 Listen to many reciters

• 🔁 Repeat a single verse or a whole passage — perfect for memorisation

• 🔖 Set bookmarks (down to the exact verse) and find your recent pages

• 🔍 Search for a word (in Arabic, transliteration or translation) — even by voice 🎙️

• 🔗 Share a link to a precise passage, with its settings (repetition, speed, reciter)

• 🌙 Dark mode, zoom, several interface languages (fr, en, ar, ur)

• 📲 Install it like an app and use it even offline (PWA Web app)

My next goal: let a teacher share a specific lesson with a student or a parent 👨‍🏫 — a given passage, with the chosen repetitions and settings. The child simply listens and follows along on their 13-line mushaf 👦📖. I also plan to turn the site into a real Android and iOS app (with capacitor).

Also adding highlights features and mutashabihat for houffadh).

⚠️ Good to know

This is a beta: not everything is perfect, and some features are still on the way. It's not a full tafsir app, and teacher → student sharing isn't finalised yet.
