We built an app for coordinating with your crew during music festivals
Hey! My friends and I have been going to music festivals together for years, usually with a pretty big group, and we always run into the same two problems:
- Everyone has different music tastes, so trying to figure out a schedule in the group chat gets chaotic fast.
- Once we're actually at the festival, it's almost impossible to keep track of where everyone is and what sets people are going to.
We couldn't find an app that really solved both, so we ended up building one ourselves.
https://beacon-festival-app.web.app/events/north-coast-2026
It's also available on the Play Store and App Store.
Before the festival, everyone can like the artists and sets they're interested in, and you can easily see where your tastes overlap with the rest of your crew. Once you figure out your plans, you can mark sets as "going" so everyone knows who's planning to be where without digging through a million group chat messages.
Then once you're at the festival, you can turn on Festival Mode, which basically strips everything down to what you need while you're there:
Now tab – See what's coming up next on your personal schedule and which sets your friends are interested in.
Live schedule – See the full timetable with a live "now" line so it's easy to see what's happening at a glance. You can also filter by your interests and reorder the stages however you want.
Crew – Quickly see which sets everyone in your group is going to.
Set details – Tap any set to see which of your friends are planning to be there.
We're still working on it and have a bunch more features we want to add, so we'd genuinely love to hear any ideas or requests that would make it easier and more useful.
And if there's another festival you'd like to use it for, just send me a message and I would love to add it for you!
