So after the exam, I counted so many mistakes that I made. I did really well on my mocks, but I don’t think I did as well on the actual exam. I wanted to ask those of you who passed: after the exam, were you also worried that you might fail, or were you confident that you had done well?

For the NDECC clinical skills exam I’m currently looking into buying loupes specifically for the exam/practice.

For anyone who has taken the NDECC or is currently preparing for it:

What loupes/brand did you use?

What magnification would you recommend? 2.5x, 3.0x, 3.5x, 4.0x?

Do you prefer traditional TTL loupes or ergonomic/deflection loupes for NDECC?

Approximately how much did you pay for yours?

Are there any cheaper loupes that you think are good enough for NDECC?

Are there any specific NDECC rules/requirements I should be aware of before buying loupes?

Would you recommend getting a headlight as well?

Any brands/models you would avoid?

Any other tips regarding loupes, working distance, posture, or getting used to them before the exam?

I don’t mind investing in a good pair, but I’m trying to find the best value for money rather than spending $2,000–$3,000+ if it isn’t necessary.
Would really appreciate hearing from people who have actually practiced for or taken the NDECC or have heard anything regarding this. Please mention the model, magnification and approximate price if you remember.

Just wanted to know the difficulty level of August exam.
For me February afk 2026 was very tough.

Hi, I am looking for a study partner who is giving exam in November’26. I want to discuss cases and revise what is done in the classes. I am doing my acj from prep.

I am a foreign trained dentist from pakistan and i want to practice as a dentist in canada as my pr will be coming next year. I am aware of all the different exams that i have to give but i have no idea how to start preparation for it. esp the first part AFK. i will be sitting in the august 2027 exam. I have also passed the INBDE exam of US. will it be of any help? please recommend preparation guide and what should i start with? is there any other course thats as good as prep doctors as i cannot afford the 7000 dollars fee. please give recommendations for courses and how i should move ahead?

Anyone from Dow University of Health Sciences Karachi? Can you pls help me clarify how to get the university documents verified and attested.

Could someone please clarify:

• Should I contact the Verification Department/Examinations Department directly?
• Can an outland candidate request the academic records and degree confirmation/verification directly from the university?
• Do I need to have my documents signed/stamped by the Dean and later dispatch it or is the verification department responsible for this?
• Is there a specific person/office or email address I should contact for this process?
• I come to know about Duhs verification department and paying the 100$ plus 40$ courier fees. Am I refering to right department to continue with the process
• If anyone has recently gone through this process could you please share the steps you followed?

I have tried to get clarification, but I am honestly quite confused and have not been able to find someone who can clearly guide me through the process. TIA
