As of today, Rocha Moya has taken a leave of absence for more than 30 days, as he is also included on this list.

The United States Department of Justice highlights that Díaz Vega conspired to import narcotics. Additionally, for possessing "machine guns and explosive devices," the former official could face life imprisonment for the charges.

The document consulted by Infobae México highlights that Enrique Díaz and Senator Enrique Inzunza — who has not requested a leave of absence — allegedly colluded to "place corrupt officials to protect the drug trafficking operations of the Chapitos and acted as liaisons between the leaders of the Chapitos and Rocha Moya."

It also indicates that during the 2021 gubernatorial elections, as denounced by various politicians in recent days, Vega Díaz allegedly gave the Chapitos "the names and addresses of the opponents" of Rocha Moya, so that the criminal group could carry out threats to "force those opponents to withdraw from the gubernatorial race."

El documento consultado por Infobae México destaca que Enrique Díaz y el senador Enrique Inzunza -quien no ha solicitado licencia- se habrían coludido para “colocar a funcionarios corruptos para proteger las operaciones de tráfico de drogas de los Chapitos y actuaron como enlaces entre los líderes de los Chapitos y Rocha Moya”.

También indica durante las elecciones para ocupar la gubernatura en 2021, tal como lo han denunciado distintos políticos en los últimos días, Vega Díaz habría entregado a los Chapitos “los nombres y direcciones de los oponentes” de Rocha Moya, para que el grupo criminal realizara amenazas hasta “obligar a esos oponentes a retirarse de la contienda por la gobernación”

El exsecretario señalado de narcotráfico por autoridades de Estados Unidos ocupó la titularidad de la Secretaría de Administración y Finanzas de Sinaloa durante tres años, desde el 1 de noviembre de 2021, fecha en que fue designado al frente de una de las dependencias estratégicas del gobierno estatal encabezado por Rocha Moya.
