Does Anyone Else Think Coltrane Would Play a Good 50 Cent Or Kanan
To me they look a lot alike. Like he could be his son. Theyre both built on top of that. Maybe in Power Origins, we could see him as a Kanan in his prime. I fuck with Mekai though, I’m just saying like by season 3-4 we should see a change.
[SPOILERS] Darren
What the fucking hell was he thinking with that crashout at the end of episode 5😭? I get he wanted to slide for Deon but now he surely gonna go to jail for life. Killing multiple cops in broad daylight was a wild crashout 😭😭. Bro is loyal to the fucking core tho held it down when he was getting pressed on where Coltrane was after the bangout
Tyler Perry School of Writing
The writing and directing of this show is so astonishingly BAD. It feels like a Tyler Perry crime drama. And that's a real shame because they have all the ingredients they needed to make this a top-notch show: great cast and clearly a decent budget. Instead, it feels like a caricature. The actors have to be laughing at some of the things they're being told to say.
There's very little that is imaginative or unique. At all. It's like a basic cut and paste of scenes and even lines from many other shows in this genre. I know because I've seen many of them! 😂I'm really surprised because I was really looking forward to this based on Courtney Kemp's work on the original Power series. This ain't it. This feels like something a student wrote.
Did somebody tell her she gets extra points for every time they say 🥷🏾🥷🏾🥷🏾?? DRINK every time somebody says nigga SMDH. Nothing tells me that the writing team is LOW QUALITY especially in Black flicks like the unnecessary use of THAT word in a script. That, and the cool soundtracks that are designed to distract viewers from the crappy writing and directing.
So much of this is extremely basic and makes absolutely NO sense.
The beauty of Power was its complexity of the storylines AND the characters. Neither exists in Nemesis. I don't like ANY of the characters here!
This show was 10/10 in my opinion!!
Seeing o’shon with someone other than Ava really fucked with me haha. But that aside it was soooooo good, got me hooked from episode one! Can’t wait for season 2!!!!!
Interested to see the direction they take S2 if or when it does greenlit

Not a bad show but takes a lot of obvious inspiration
I’m only 3 episodes in but I noticed not only are a lot of the actors from several notorious series (Power, All American, The Game etc) it takes a lot of inspiration from different things.
It’s pretty obvious Coldtrain is a different take on Ghost
Isaiah’s neglect towards his family to chase his dream job is pretty much Ghost
Isaiah’s bad relationship with his dad who still lives in the hood and he pays his bills is straight from All American. Coach Baker had a rough relationship with his dad who lived in the hood and he paid his bills and didn’t want his kids around him. Even the scene where Noah invited Isaiah’s dad to the thanksgiving party was straight from all American where the baker kids invited coach bakers dad to Spencer’s birthday party behind his back lol
A 4 man robbery crew reminds me of GTA Vs story in tv show form wildly enough. 3 guys do the ground work, 1 is smart and experienced, 1 is reckless and the other looks up to the first guy. 4th guy is mostly the brains of the crew.
Even though the concept is pretty non organic and takes from a lot of different places, I still like it. It’s a pretty decent show
Season 2
I see people saying there cant be a season 2 but i totally disagree. Coltrane is still out there. Choi and stro are still in the hospital and there could be something there w them being broken out. Malik and Candace. The cartel wanting their get back. Charlie and how she has so much power?? Those women Ebony paid off and what they know/have done. What ebony has done for coltrane in the past. So much id like to see.
god awful piece of shit
not even gonna mark this a spoiler, that ending was the worst tv show ending ive ever seen in years, 0/10 what a shitshow, wasted 8 hours of my fucking life for this nonsense. the morons that greenlit this needs to be shot
Quick discussion
So, I know Courtney A. Kemp has a thing with writing characters we aren't supposed to like but they are just too damn intriguing not too. First Ghost and now Coltrane. But the inverse is also true. She always writes good guys we just can't honestly root for.
I'm sorry but Isaiah is straight trash. Not the actor playing him. He actually does a great job (M. Law). Isaiah honestly is the most competent and just hate face punchable smugness looking sob on the show. The amount of Deus Ex that occurred to get him off the hook is legitimately insane.
What exactly was Coltrane's plan with the heavy shootout in the middle of a city block? It just didn't logically make sense. You don't have tinted windows on the Sprinter? Plus think about all the additional time between when they left the penthouse to the Sprinter/Central City Shootout. You had no time to stash your gear&the money and just split up and then have a second team collect all the things. Harper could have easily picked up the money and gear from a drop off point. I get they wanted to do a homage to Heat but they should have just done it with any other crew. It didn't fit Coltrane's style of operation & planning.
But the biggest Deus Ex is Amos and Stiles. At any point, couldn't Coltrane just say that the reason he's been able to avoid the cops is because Isaiah is essentially helping him. Obfuscation and all that stuff. "You caught a small guppy because the big fish is right there, your honor!" Nino Brown Style.
"I was just a businessman and a reformed criminal until a hardened criminal and his son, an LAPD officer, brought me back into the line of crime. They fed me Intel at work. Response times. Police routes. Everything I needed to evade capture..He threatened my wife and family if we didn't do the jobs for him. He set up my friend Deon to be murdered..."
