Netflix Cancels Bandi: A Sad Blow to Diversity Despite Good Ratings.

Netflix cancelled Bandi after one season despite strong global ratings (40M+ hours in week 2), great reviews, and Top 10 rankings. The decision highlights Netflix’s confusing renewal policy, which often ignores commercial success and cultural value similar to hits like Mindhunter, 1899, The OA, and Sense8 that were axed despite great audiences. As the first major series set in the West Indies with local Martinican actors and authentic stories, its cancellation feels like a blow to diversity. The 8 episodes remain hidden gems worth enjoying on Netflix.

DARK — THE SERIAL THAT CHANGED EVERYTHING ! 🌑⏳ [ RECO ]

Bonjour…

Subtitles kind of ruin the viewing experience for me. The whole time, my eyes are being pulled down to the bottom, away from the actors' faces, away from what's happening on screen. I'm basically reading a show instead of watching it specially anime/kdrama/documentary/movies that I want to keep the audio in original language.

I got frustrated enough that I built a Chrome extension to fix it. FloatSub lets you move your subtitles into a floating bubble and place them wherever you want; center of the screen, just below a character's face, wherever your eyes already are.

Works on Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+, and Viki.
