NFC mix

Her mom and sister (all rescued) also look similar with different colors. She has a lot of the personality traits that are common to Norwegian forest cats. She is much larger than any cat I’ve had, even under all the floof (very round looking lol, she’s incredibly fluffy). Added her cute baby pics too :)

It’s so good seeing how many people love their cats, so I thought I’d post mine here too. Forelsket Freddy!

Meet Oliver

I picked up Oliver at a shelter. He was originally from Georgia but was shipped up to Massachusetts because I guess they have a problem with too many strays down there?

He has an interesting story. He was actually a surrender from a family but when he was going through the system someone mistakenly marked him as a stray and neutered him and clipped his ear before realizing he was surrendered and scheduled for relocation.

Oh well, no cat shows for him.

He also was in the shelter with one weird cloudy eye which the people at the shelter said "would clear up". Well, 5 years later and we know he's actually blind in that eye and it will never be better than it is.

Like all oranges, he's a big derp and he also loves to scream incessantly at me whenever he thinks he's hungry. Not very cuddly but he will sit near me almost all the time (likely looking for his next meal).

Help: Diet & Tummy & Hair

Hello, I just adopted the most adorable ball of fur and it looks like she adopted me too.

Background for context: she’s 5-6 yo, female, spayed, rehomed, only cat.

We’re on Day 5 together, and I need advice from you experienced peeps:

1- She only pooped once in the 5 days we’ve been together🥲I get she’s still adjusting, but she uses the litter box to pee, she only pooped on day 2. I’m used to cats going every day or every other day, is this “normal”?

2- She’s super picky about her food. She was on a free feeding schedule of dry food, I still have her bag of food but she refuses to eat it.
I want to switch her to a mix of wet + dry: She only eats the wet food off of my hand, it has to be mousse or gel texture otherwise she leaves the bits out, and barely reaches out to her dry food. I even got her a couple other brands to try and she’s really not interested. Does not have a issue with dry treats though
When I count the calories she eats a day she’s nowhere near what she needs to be consuming

3- Her fur was EXTREMELY matted when I got her. She’s so sweet she let me cut out the big ones and brush her. And ever since I’ve been brushing her multiple times a day no problems. But the fur on her legs and belly seems to be of another texture all together, and gets tangled and matted super fast. Is this normal? Could this be related to her diet?

The cats I have experience with were usually low maintenance. I don’t mind putting in the effort with this love bug, I just want to find a “shortcut” to what will allow her to be healthy and happy ♥️
