Help Stop the Lyon Township Data Center!

On Monday, July 13th, the Lyon Township Planning Commission is moving its monthly meeting to the South Lyon High School East auditorium because Project Flex, the proposed 1.8-million-square-foot hyperscale AI data center in the middle of this residential community, is on the agenda.

If built, this mammoth data center would be less than a mile from an elementary school, require its own DTE substation with 18-36 500-megawatt transmission towers, and be the second-largest in the state behind the Oracle data center in Saline Township.

Verrus, a California-based company, proposes to build its first industrial hyperscale data center near family homes and a K-5 elementary school in downtown Lyon Township/New Hudson, Michigan. This development puts water quality, air quality, energy pricing, property values, and quality of life at risk.

Electrician recommendations

I've ran into a wall with my current ancient split bus panel in the house, and will need a replacement/upgrade. Does anybody have a recommendation for an electrician that's straightforward, honest, easy to work with, and does the job efficiently at a fair price? Thanks

Dine-in Pizza Huts in Metro Detroit?

Hi all! Does anyone know of any Pizza Huts in the metro Detroit area that have dine in seating? My daughter is participating in the Book It summer reading challenge (millenials, IYKYK), and she earned her personal pan pizza for the month of June.

I live up in Rochester, and I think our nearby Pizza Hut is a carry out only (Tienken/Adams). Does anyone know of any locations that have seating? We are willing to make the drive to help relive the nostalgia of our youth for her — even if we miss out on the checkerboard table cloths, big plastic Coke glasses, and the stained glass table lights

Do you want to sit down with Abdul El-Sayed?

I'm a producer at More Perfect Union and am working on a video with Abdul El-Sayed. We'll be filming a roundtable discussion with him on July 8th in Detroit from 1pm - 5pm and I'm looking for folks who would be down to talk with him on camera about a variety of issues.
