Considering moving to Oakland County from out of state

We are considering moving our family to Oakland County, specifically Novi Northville Farmington Milford, maybe Brighton (I know a different county).

We could really use some first-hand feedback about the pros and cons of living in these cities, the quality of their schools, the amount of testing and behavioral issues/management in the schools. We have elementary aged kids, thanks

Happy Dream Cruise weekend to those that celebrate!

The dream cruise is one of my favorite things in the summer! I love seeing the unique and whacky cars personally. What do you like about the Dream Cruise?

How Oakland County's failed school millage breaks down by municipality

Higher concentrations of votes in the southeast part of the county, along the 696 corridor, plus Pontiac area (Bloomfields/AH/RH). We see the usual pattern of voting against schools in the townships, but a couple surprising spots though like Lathrup Village and Madison Heights. Even Clawson clocks in pretty low. No offense guys, but based on property values, there were definitely a lot of people voting, "No" - against their own self-interests.

Overall, an interesting breakdown. Credit to Oakland County Times.

F45 Training North Livonia?

Hello! New poster. I was wondering if anyone has personal experience with F45 Training the North Livonia location? I am thinking of joining this gym in September as I will be moving to the area and it seems to be the closest to the current style of training I do currently. Would love to hear experiences or any other recommendations!! Thank you!

It’s easy to focus on things we would like to change about where we live, but what is something you like and appreciate?

Community Rules Update

Hey all! The mod team wants to share a little update to our community rules.

As I've sure many of you have noticed, this sub has been gaining popularity (hurray!), but with that there's been an uptick in posts with sensationalized and click-baity titles, or even, in some cases, titles with false information.

To combat this, we're enforcing a new rule that requires the titles of posts linking to online published information to match the title of the information being linked. This applies to news articles, scientific studies, videos etc. You are, of course, still free to express your opinions, ask questions, or spark discussion regarding the linked information in the post's body and comments, but the title itself must match the source.

So, for example, if I'm posting a link to a BBC article titled, "The Case for Abolishing the British Monarchy," then that must also be the title of my Reddit post.

Please feel free to speak up if any clarification is required!

Our goal is for this sub to remain a place that fosters healthy discussions about anything regarding Oakland County, from politics and careers to lifestyle and leisure.

Thanks everyone! 🌳🌅

Dash Cam Installation

Anyone know any shops that do Dash Cam Installation? Also if you have an estimate of how much it costs that would be helpful as well.
