Just revived my OnePlus 7 Pro (temporary)

So, in January, my 7P died from the end of life issue that's discussed in every other post in here. I was saving up for another board, since I can't let it go for some reason. Today I got my hands on a hair dryer, and heated the board on max heat from 5-10 sec away, for like 2 mins, turning the board regularly. Hooked it up to the phone and it booted up for the first time since Jan. I know this is temporary, and I started with a lower time so I could know how long it will last, and to know how much to heat it the next time it dies. I'll update when there's something to report. Hope this helps you get more time with this legendary device.

Lineage os

So I am really rusty on the technical part of custom Roms anymore, I would like to flash lineage os.

I was using the phone for just android auto and car stream but the phone was getting laggy so I figured I would just clear the dalvik cache while I was waiting to clock out at work, well I wound up resetting the device to factory.

I already have the bootloader unlocked and twrp is installed, and the phone has never been updated since I bought it in 2019.

The phone is the 7pro

Where do I start? From what I understand is that I have to update my phone to Android 12?do I have to watch out for anything?

Thanks

7 Years Later

7 years ago today, on May 14, 2019 I went to the OnePlus 7 Pro launch event in NYC at Pier 94. Looking back, I was filming Jerry Rig Everything doing a demo right before my eyes without reailzing it was him. If I could go back I would put my phone down...

In January I was using my 7 Pro when it decided to go black once and for all. Bricked motherboard connection. I then started using an old phone temporarily, contemplating when or if to buy the OnePlus 15, since all these years I hoped another phone with a truly full screen display would come out. On Monday that temporary phone broke; I ordered the 15, and by coincidence, today happened to be the day it came. Exactly 7 years later

Installed lineage OS 23.2 any other better ROM suggestions?

After 2 years of using pixel 8 decided to bring back my op7 pro to life so flashed Los 23 , now it feels snappy and even more powerful than pixel 8 , just out of curiosity is there any other ROM which is good or should I stick with LOS only?

Reviving the beast .

Just got the 7 pro for 80$ , my god the Screen is so mesemerising and yes oxygenOS is awful . So I got my computer and slipped the Evolution X running Android 16 inside the beast. So far this rom is amazing , and ofcourse play integrity is not available which got two of my game accounts banned , probably due to unlocked bootloader.

I also have the 8 pro , it has a port for oxgen os15 , wished someone ported the same for the 7 pro .

I want to try more ROMs , can you all list which one are you using and what cons does it have ? Along with the fearures that make you use that rom. 🫶 .

Factory Reset Help

So I accidentally entered the factory reset menu, panicked, set the language to chinese, and started resetting without even realizing what I was doing.
I panicked and force-shut the phone down, but anytime I open it back up it just automatically resumes wiping it.
Is there ANY way to get into the physical storage of the phone to remove/recover files? or plug it into the computer and extract them? I understand that this is not possible after it wipes everything.

please

OnePlus just dropped the Nord CE6 Lite 5G and the specs for a budget device are actually interesting. The standout is definitely the 7000mAh battery (they’re claiming 2 days of life and a 6-year health guarantee) paired with 45W charging.

Quick Specs:

Chipset: Dimensity 7400 Apex

Display: 6.72" FHD+ LCD, 144Hz (1000 nits HBM)

Storage: UFS 3.1

Camera: 50MP Main (4K support) / 8MP Selfie

AI: Integrated with Google Gemini (AI Eraser, AI Writer, etc.)

It’s already hitting Amazon India, and it should be landing in the GCC (Saudi, UAE, etc.) soon.

Does a 7000mAh battery make up for it being an LCD panel? I'm curious to see how the Dimensity 7400 Apex holds up in real-world benchmarks compared to the Snapdragon 6 series we usually see in this price bracket. What do you guys think?
