I'm very well versed in gaming and the wifey is just dipping her toes into pc gaming for the first time. So please be patient with us. We are looking for likeminded people who want to play some friendslop and just hangout. Brownie points if you like Romantasy and are a fellow booktoker. I mostly play WoW, Roguelikes, JRPGS, TCGS, WH40k and D&D. Currently we've been having a blast playing Meccha Chameleon.

I mean, i don't really know how to begin this message. And in the end.... it doesn't even matter.

Had a few online gaming buddies, but as time goes on, those groups fell apart, preferences changed and so on. And here am i, still playing games on a regular basis. Like, sometimes it feels like, it's "wrong" to still play games like i do. I mean, i of course have other hobbies and activities, f.e. music - listening, volounteer author for a punk zine, creating music videos, collecting vinyls, going to concerts, cycling (hey, that's not related to music), swimming (living near the sea), writing (well, the author-stuff, but also started to write lyrics again) and so on. But there's still gaming.

Don't know, where i'm going with this.

I love playing games alone, but honestly, i would love to socialize with new people again and meet new interests. On the other hand, i'm not interested (for now) to join some weird discord servers, where like 30 bots are installed and people need tiktok, spotify and youtube run at the same time, while they are in a call with someone. Maybe i'm oldschool, but what happened to the "Just let us sit down for a couple of hours and play some games or just chat about whatever"? Still don't know, where i'm going with this. Maybe you, the reader, know it. 😆

I only play games on PC, but Crossplay makes a lot possible. I have like +300 games on steam, but mainly play games like Battlefield 6, Survival Games (most liked so far is 7dtd) and honestly would love to get back into Rainbow Six Siege... oh wait, it's called Rainbow Six X, isn't it? I also started to follow the CS2-Pro League for a couple of months now and it's a blast (though, i don't play CS). I'm also open for new games, but not really interested in sport- or racing games.

Personwise i would describe myself being calm, reflective and honest. No toxic behaviour, no screaming, no raging. I always follow the simple guide: Treat the other person like you wanted to be treated. You never know, how the other person currently feels, what he or she is going through. Maybe gaming (or whatever the other person does) is their only safe haven.

Absolutely zero interest and tolerance in close minded, racist and homophobic (etc.) people.

Maybe there's someone out there, who would like to meet up. If you're shy, funny, small, big, weird, kind, i don't care. Just be a human being. 🙂 And i'm kinda tired of people, which say, they want to meet up for games/chatting, but then never show up.

Native in german, fluent in english, basic-medium knowledge in danish, swedish and french.

What have you been playing to get you through?

Hi everyone,

I've been a gamer for many years, and as I've gotten older, I've realized it's becoming harder to find people to play with consistently. Between Discord servers, Facebook groups, and random posts, I often end up spending more time looking for teammates than actually playing.

Because of that, I've been designing a platform over the past few months to help adult gamers (25+) find teammates in a simpler and more organized way.

It's still in development, and before I keep building it, I'd really love to get honest feedback from people who actually play games.

I'd really appreciate it if you could answer any of these questions:

• What was the first thing that caught your attention?
• Was anything confusing or unclear?
• What information would you like to see before joining a lobby?
• Is there any feature you feel is missing?
• Would you use something like this? Why or why not?

I'm not trying to promote anything—I genuinely want to improve the product based on feedback from the gaming community.

Don’t know if I’ll get any nibbles with this, but, eh, why not try. Finding friends seems to be a tricky thing so I’m hoping I could make some, especially some closer to my age group. I’m a bit of a horror nerd, with some of my favorite games being Outlast Trials, Repo, Phasmophobia, and a handful of others that may not be as popular or known. Also, if my username wasn’t a giveaway, I love the Resident Evil series as well; I swear it’s a super old gamertag. Lately, I’ve been having fun with another horror game called Species Unknown. I do own DBD, although I don’t play it as much as I used to. I strangely hop between either chaotic horror games to others that are actually cozy and hella relaxing, like Coral Island, a shameful number of different simulations, or something like Gobin Cleanup. Heck, I even consider Schedule 1 pretty relaxing.

I do have some friends, although they’re not around as much as they used to be or they’re mainly in another friend group, which is fine. I’m just tired of being the “coat” you take out and put back after you no longer need me for something. I’ve been hesitant on joining groups because I don’t know where someone like me would fit in. It would be awesome if I met people who were cool and a little more constant, friends I could click with outside of gameplay as well. I promise I’m someone you don’t need to take serious, my sense of humor is ridiculous and I laugh at the dumbest things. I’m a huge nerd and I welcome pretty much anyone, as long as you’re easy to get along with of course. I feel like I’m writing more than I need to, and if anyone is still reading this, I apologize, heh. Also, I’m Canadian (Central) and I game on Steam. I’m not sure how Reddit works but I’m willing to send over my Discord to anyone to wants to hang! ;)
