[51] / UK / PC - Looking for chill long-term co-op / survival gaming buddy

Hey everyone.

I’m 51, based in the UK, and looking to find a normal, easygoing adult to connect with for some regular co-op gaming and a bit of genuine chat.

I play exclusively on PC, mostly during UK evenings and weekends. I'm completely past the phase of hyper-competitive, high-stress games or loud, frantic Discord servers. I much prefer slow-burn, systemic games where you can actually build things, solve problems, and work together.

What I usually play / enjoy:

  • Survival crafting & builder/automation games (Factorio, Valheim, Ark, etc.)
  • Tactical RPGs and strategy
  • Open to trying out other co-op titles if the fit is right

I’m just looking for someone straightforward who has a life outside the screen, doesn't bring any drama, and wants to share some proper conversation and game time without it feeling like a second job.

If you're around a similar age, based in the UK/EU timezone, and looking for the same sort of thing, drop me a DM or leave a comment. Cheers!

Coming back to Old School RuneScape at 34 made me realize how little free time I have

I re-downloaded OSRS last month for nostalgia. Used to play 6 hours a day back in 2006. Thought I could log in after work, clear some quests, and get to bosses with friends in a couple weeks.

Between 45-hour work weeks, taking care of a 2 year old, and household stuff, I get maybe 4 hours a week total. Took me almost a month just to clear baseline skills for Song of the Elves because clicking rooftops for hours on a Tuesday night felt like a second job.

How do you guys approach massive MMO grinds with minimal free time? Do you accept that progress takes half a year now, or stick strictly to single player games you can pause?

Edit: A few people messaged asking if I gave up on the questing goal, I handed off the leftover Agility levels to bald services so I could play the actual quest.

Battlefield 6 Dad energy division

🎮 Recruiting: Dad Energy Division

Looking for Canadian/American guys 30+ to squad up with my husband on Battlefield 6 Hardcore.

Requirements:

  • 30+ — knees optional, bad reflexes acceptable
  • Must be funny, because apparently getting shot 47 times per match isn't entertainment enough
  • Can handle Hardcore mode and the emotional trauma of losing a firefight to a guy hiding behind a trash can
  • Canadian or American - bonus points for both apologizing and talking trash
  • Married, divorced, happily single, or emotionally married to Battlefield - we don't judge
  • Must understand that “one more game” is a legally binding statement that means at least 4 more hours

My husband needs some good, funny, chill dudes to play with who aren't going to rage-quit because someone stole their vehicle.

If you're 30+, have a sense of humor, and your tactical strategy occasionally consists of “LET'S JUST FUCKING GO”, you may be exactly who we're looking for.

Drop your gamertag/username below or DM me. 🎮😂

Bonus: If you can make him laugh while he’s getting absolutely destroyed, you're basically family 🤩

Looking for some friends :)

Hey everyone 👋

I'm just here like most of you all, looking for some friends with a shared interest in gaming. I'm 34M, happily married and we have a 4 year old.

I live in a small town in Kentucky, so its difficult to find others who share interests sometimes. Other times, life just gets in the way, which is fine, its just how it is!

I play primarily on PC, and also some Switch 2. I can/will play most anything. I tend to stay away from competitive these days, but that doesnt mean I'll never try them.

Im good with any kind of co-op games, but im also down to just chill and chat while we play our own single player games. I love most any genre, but platformers and beat em ups are some of that good stuff lol. Been playing Pokémon for like 30 years, so there's that.

Also up for trying whatever. Ive heard of archipelago with emus (not sure if thats allowed here?) But I think it'd be fun to try sometime!

Working full time and having a 4 year old means, im pretty limited on time. Im on CST and usually can get on around 9pm most nights.

Little more about me: I have a sweet goldendoodle, love food/cooking, been trying to exercise more and get in a healthier routine. Starting randomly writing haiku recently because of Ghost of Tsushima (currently playing through that). Also started Rivals of Aether so I could be a decent training dummy for someone lol!

In all honesty, just having a pal to hang out with and game sometimes would be nice. Im songfulpepper55 on steam so let's go?!

Schizophrenia discord gaming group?

Just wondering if any knows of such a group or maybe wants to help start one? Maybe just a group for schizophrenics who love video games? Not going to lie I’m the type of twisted gamer who enjoys dead space( but that’s the only horror game/movie I involve myself with 😂) willing to hear if anybody has any suggestions?

If you could play a game again for the first time what would it be?

If you could go back and experience one game again for the first time, what would it be?

What made that game so good the first time you played it?

Was it the story?, something you didn't expect?, the gameplay?

Maybe it was just where you were in life when you played it?

I'd like to hear what everyone comes up with

Looking for gaming friends 35+

I am looking for a friend or group of friends that are 40+ and are interested in games such as Phasmophobia, DBD, REPO & other horror co-op games. I would like to meet people who are laid back, not super competitive (since I don't take games seriously) and not easily offended. I don't like drama. I am looking for friends that want to play games, hangout in vc, or even just keep active on Discord. Hoping to find a small but good core group of people to game with. 😊

Veteran Gamers

Posting to hopefully help my husband. I did a search and unless I’m mistaken I didn’t see recent posts for this.

He’s a Marine, 36 , 0331 and did two deployments. I don’t play, but he’s mentioned how he wishes he could find a good group of guys who also served to play the game with. Right now his main game of choice is ARC raiders and he prefers pvp.

He doesn’t do social media and just started using discord so he’s still figuring that all out.

I don’t know if this is the place to go, I'm just trying to help him find community and have more enjoyment out of his free time playing.

Gamer friends

34F here in MST looking for some friends to play games with! My schedule is pretty erratic so preferably someone that doesn't expect a set time frame. I play only for fun and would enjoy someone that also just has fun and doesnt focus too much on winning.

I play mostly LoL (though I'm not good), PEAK (help me summit), Minecraft, a bunch of Switch games, and I'm up for learning new games too! Please be chill though, that's important.

Join if you’re active and wanna game!

Tired of solo queues, toxic lobbies, and friends who never hop on at the same time? Come join my Discord — a chill but competitive community of gamers who actually talk, squad up, and have a good time.
Here’s what you’ll find:
• Regular game nights, and spontaneous sessions across tons of games
• Active voice channels where people actually hang out
• Friendly members who help with tips, loadouts, and carrying when needed

I’m a nurse from Arizona who likes to just hang out and play whatever, I’m on most nights and usually have a hard time finding people to play with. So I decided to make my own space for those in the same predicament as me. I can’t wait to meet whoever joins and hopefully increase my online friend group!
