KIKO is changing my life

Disclaimer: these are my opinions, and ofcourse will differ with many of yours, as we all have different skin and priorities!

Kiko have this Buy 3, Get 3 sale and i went twice with a friend of mine, did some girl math and split the bill. Omg, it was life changing. I got all these products + one BB cream that i dont bring along. It has really upped my makeup game by alot.

Kiko BB Cream - super lightweight, amazing finish, it does have a little fragrance which i usually dont prefer but it is not so pungent and is avoidable. I mean as its a BB cream, its long lasting but there are some oily areas on my chin where it brushed off a littttttleeeee bit but nothing too alarming. Probably kept my palm on my chin in office and it rubbed off.

Kiko Panoramic Mascara - LIFE ALTERING. I applied it, had a full emotional breakdown with tears, slept through the exhaustion of crying, woke up and left for paddle and came back from playing an hour. That bitch did not smudge or move an inch!!!!! Even on a bad day, Kiko had my back.

Kiko Winged Eyeliner - I have hooded eyes and oily too a little bit. My eyeliner never sticks or stays long, it always smudges. This ONE is built like a sharpie pen type of felt tip. It is a hard felt tip. Its like drawing on a sharpie on your eye, glides easily, dries instantly and LONG FREAKING LASTING.

Kiko Unlimited Double Touch Lipgloss - Love it! Not a lip girlie but this product changed me. I can keep it matte if i like or glossy, and i eat through so much but that lipstick stuck to me like my demons on a bad night!

Kiko Smart Lipstick - This is my first lipstick buy so i may be biased but i never leaned towards lipsticks all my life. But this one glides like a lipgloss, it has a buttery and creamy texture that helps it glide, it shines and stays! What is this sorcery????? But i am not complaining.

Kiko Smart Fusion Lip Pencil - Cant go too wrong with a lip pencil! Again, it glides like butter. The formula of the pencil is not dry at all. Even if my lips are chapped to the extreme, this lip pencil’s stubborn AF, it still be gliding on it.

The only downside is the price of things. And i get that getting 6-7k worth of lip and eye products can be a bit much. But oh, the pay off is worth it. I might breakup with all my previous brands because in life, you need stability, consistency, performance and trust. And the feeling Kiko gives me, cannot be replicated!

Hence, bye bye other products.

I have not gotten my salary since the last 3.5 months, I'm freaking tired.

For context, I am working in a hospital and nobody is getting their salary. Only those with salaries below 40K got paid for just one month.

We have to work 6 days a week, and if we come even a second late, they deduct it from our salary. But when it comes to actually paying us, we aren’t getting it.

I recently graduated and started working the very next day. First, I did an internship at LUMHS, then an internship at this hospital. They hired me after I completed my 3-month internship. I am currently on probation and have completed 2 months. Only one month to go.

I’ll ramble now, bear with me.

I wake up really early, around 6am (which is really early for me) and leave the house by 7am at the latest. I’ve been doing this for the last 5 months now. I am honestly so tired and my whole body is exhausted.

From my class, a lot of students are still job hunting. Only a few are working, and most of them got their jobs through references. I got mine through my own hard work. I am just so freaking tired. I don’t want to sound ungrateful, but I guess it does sound like that, hehe.

I also got myself enrolled in M.Phil and my classes will start on Saturday. They will be on weekends. I feel like one day my body will just shut down because before I at least had one day off, but now I won’t even get that.

I always wanted to do further studies with my own money. I didn’t want to bother my family, though they scolded me for saying that. I know they don’t mean it like that, but I still wanted to do it myself. My elder sister paid for my entry test and admission fee. I still have to pay the semester fee which I'll pay myself, Insha’Allah.

We’ve been hearing that we’ll get two months salary this week. We’ve been hearing “next week” since last month, so I’m not sure, to be honest.

The irony is that I did get a job offer from somewhere else. I wanted to take that job, but I can’t anymore because of M.Phil. Managing both work and study will be really tough. (It's a lab job, it'll be a lot hectic compared to this one)

I so badly want to log out, but I can’t.

How to help boys ?

While reading the comments something else popped up in my mind how do you think women who are mothers or sisters or wives or daughters can create a sense of safety ?

I have this thread going on about getting to know men.their emotions and about SA of young boys.

While reading the comments something else popped up in my mind and that was how do you think women who are mothers or sisters or wives or daughters can create a sense of safety ? If it's the right word ?for you guys.

Or what do you think future mothers should instill in their children to become a safe space for boys.

So many of you struggle to express their needs and wants because you have been taught to toughen up.

Or your experience wasn't good and you decided to shut down entirely.

Or your parents weren't good at responding and talked negative things about you in your childhood.

So what do you need from the community that will help you or your children in future when we are gone but maybe something you tell us might be learned by someone else and become a source of ease for someone.

If men struggle what do you need ?

That's my fav question that I have asked you people so far...

So I would love to know.
