Help is desperately needed! I opened my game after only a few hours after recently playing, and all of my save files are gone. I can't locate them in my folders either.
How can I find them and recover them?
Please help! I was finally at a place in my save where everything was coming together, and I was so excited to keep playing in it.
If you are on a Mac and all your saves disappeared, this is the solution:
Go to your userfolder and press command+shift+period (.), so you can see the hidden folders. The Library folder will be a slightly greyed-out icon.
Go to (userfolder)/Library/ApplicationSupport/com.Paralives.Paralives
Copy everything.
Go to (userfolder)/Library/ApplicationSupport/Paralives/Paralives
and paste it, choosing to replace everything. Check the MySavedGames.mod folder to see that your save files are there - for whatever reason mine didn't replace so I had to copy them separately.
Open the game. Your saves should be there.
For whatever reason, the game started looking for the saves in a different folder than where they have previously been kept. The save files are still on your computer - you just have to get them into the right place.
