"Paranormasight: The Mermaid's Curse" with Crossover on Mac Can't Save
I am able to run Paranormasight: The Mermaid's Curse (installed via Steam) without any issues, but when I try to save the game, I get a window popping up (see image) saying that the game failed to save data. It seems that the autosave is working based on the fact that the autosave slot's timestamp gets updated as I keep playing, but the autosave data doesn't seem to persist when I close and reopen the game.
Has anyone had success playing this game, or had success fixing a similar issue in another game? Based on my Googling, it doesn't seem like a lot of Crossover users have posted about this game. It isn't even listed in the software compatibility search in the Crossover website.

Who is the "Seiman" psychic in TMC? (MERMAID)
My memories of the first game are quite fuzzy, but I finished TMC today and I don't know what's up with the psychic. The game almost outright says it's a completely different person than the one they talked about in SMoH, and seemingly one with actual psychic powers.
Is it supposed to be Shogo? He said he was leaving the company because he would be involved in the psychic world of something like that
