I’m 22 and have been a fan of Pere Ubu since I was 11. Anyone a fan? My parents never told me about them. I just discovered them in a record shop

I saw Pere Ubu open for the Pixies at the Fox Theater in Portland in 91. They left an impression on me but I was still young (19) and was firmly entrenched in listening to my favorites. I’m 54 now and have found my way back to Pere Ubu, and I’m so glad I did. It started with a conversation about favorite shows and I thought back to that night at the Fox Theater. I went to YouTube and found some amazing live performances from the old Night Music television show, and was blown away by their unique style and Dave’s presence. I’m a fan. I’d love to hear stories about how you all discovered them for yourselves and what albums you love. I’m pretty happy with the Modern Dance and Cloudland but I have a feeling I’ll be getting them all as time goes by.
