Ito naman ang mga updates sa paparating na SEA V. Cup in Vietnam and Thailand (nagkaroon ng change of venue sa Vietnam and napalitan na rin ang name ng tourney from SEA V. League to SEA V. Cup. I don't know what's on SAVA's head and their thought process)

- Start na ng training for the girls tomorrow. So far, Akari gurlies palang ang confirmed na nag commit from the OG Core.

- and speaking of OG Core, may ilang babalik din. Ang pinakahinihintay ng lahat.

- Wala munang lumot gels due to Preseason tourney. But rest assured na hahabol sila sa Aichi-Nagoya Games, may basbas na si Coach Ramil.

- Alleiah Malaluan probably begged off for the second time (and it's honestly sad. If I see her playing this On Tour may idea na ko kung bakit)

- Good news naman dahil may tatlong garapata gels na nadagdag (kasi consultant na si Coach Taka sa NU Lady Bulldogs)

- and speaking of nadagdag, mayroon ding mga bagong karakter (karakteerr??)

Indonesia marches into the quarterfinals!

Indonesia completed its revenge against Alas Pilipinas, defeating the Philippines in straight sets (25-22, 25-13, 28-26) to secure a place in the AVC Girls' U18 Championship quarterfinals.

With the victory, Indonesia finishes as the second seed in Pool C and will face Thailand, for a spot in the semifinals.

Meanwhile, Alas Pilipinas missed out on the quarterfinals and will compete in the classification matches.

This bugs me. Ask any person who is the football GOAT or superstar, they will say Messi, Ronaldo or Mbappe.

Ask for basketball, may Jordan or LeBron. For local, maybe JunMar or Big J or the Big Difference.

Volleyball? Local lang kilala ko eg Valdez, Galang.

F1 mga meron eg Schumacher, Hamilton, Verstappen.

May branding or promotion issue ba international volleyball?

I don’t know what’s stopping Galeries or Zus from recruiting Heather. She is a very underrated player. Most games ng Cignal nung wala pa si Ganie, sya yung bumuhat ng scoring load. Even outscoring Erika Santos who was their main gunner.

Di ko syre why bigla syang ginawang reserve player. Di tuloy nya naipakita skills nya last conference. She has very lethal serves, great defensive skills, decent blocks and very smart when it comes to attacking. Malikot ang kamay ni girlie. Sana magkateam na sya soon.

A notable veteran figure who was left out of the original Alas Women pool is being lined up to take her place, adding much-needed experience to a squad that will be navigating two major international tournaments in quick succession.

I've suggested this in a comment here.

Since it seems there are a lot of conflict for our Alas senior players to participate later this year (based on some reports), why not go with the countries' up and coming top players?

For me, it's good investment for the future.

I mean, we need to look at our REALISTIC goals for the Asian games.

NAKAKALUNGKOT isipin na nababalewala ang kapakanan ng isang atleta, partikular sa isang volleyball player, kung hindi siya nakakapaglaro para sa kanyang koponan dahil siya ay may injury o ibang napagkasunduan na nakakaapekto sa kanyang dapat na matanggap na sahod o allowance.

Sobrang dismayado ang mahusay na dating star player sa isang prestihiyosong kolehiyo na nasasangkot ngayon sa matinding kontrobersiya dahil hindi naibibigay ang kanyang dapat na matanggap na suweldo o allowance base sa kanilang napagkasunduan ng kanyang propesyunal na koponan.

Ikinalulungkot ng matangkad na player na kada buwan ay nababawasan at lumiliit ang kanyang natatanggap dahil idinadahilan sa kanya na walang kumpetisyon at hindi nakakapaglaro ang player na dapat na maging basehan para sa kanyang karampatang matatanggap na allowance o sahod.

Hindi makapagreklamo ang manlalaro dahil walang Uniform Players Contract (UPC) itong pinanghahawakan.

Hiwalay pa dito ang mga sitwasyon kung saan napapasama ito para maglaro sa importanteng koponan subalit hindi nito natatanggap ang kanyang dapat na makukuha sa kanyang mother squad.

Hindi lamang umano nag-iisa ang mabait at magandang manlalaro kung saan may iba pa na nasa kanyang katulad na sitwasyon.

Naniniwala ito na sa darating na panahon ay maisasaayos ang ganitong mga nakakadismayang sitwasyon.

Ang star player ay may inisyal na NF o ‘nakakaawang FERSON’.
