Barbie Jamili bids farewell to Adamson University Lady Falcons after 3 seasons

Outside Hitter Barbie Jamili pens an emotional farewell message for the Adamson University as she's taking the next step of her career. She thanked the community, the coaching staff and teammates in the last three seasons.

ALYSSA VALDEZ returns to alas pilipinas wvt 🫠

Nakakalungkot na nag beg off yung buong alas core, idk what to feel parang nasayang yung pinaglalaban ni Jia and the rest 🥲🥲

With all of the issues that our volleyball team faced right now (and may user na ngang nagtawag na "enabler pool" ) pati yung mga bagets bigla nang natatakot. Kasi siyempre most of us are still yearning sa core na nakasanayan natin like baka nga coming June 6 eh masabi natin na:

"Kung nandyan si Angel, ibabaw yang palo"

"Buti pa nga si Bella, may matinong pasa"

"Iba pa rin si Jia"

"Matibay pang magblock si Fifi. Ewan ko diyan kay ano tamad na tamad"

Hangga't maari, puksain niyo sila Liao at yung sistema (The same person who ruined Amihan, mahilig sa patryouts). Wag na idamay ang players na tumanggap nung invite and hindi talaga pwede yung mass beg off kasi mas malaki ang balik satin niyan. Wala namang kasalanan ang players to begin with. Baka coming AVC di matino laro ng mga bagets kasi sobrang affected na sila sa bashing (happened to the players like Angel, Sam, Ces and marami pa)

Napaisip ko kasi na pwede na sana itong i-escalate for senate hearing since no show si PNVF noon nung first hearing.

UAAP WVT Jersey Rankings

CREDITS TO ALL SOURCES OF THE PHOTOS.

Which teams do you think wore the best kits last season 88?

Since ang dami kong time, here's my personal rankings:

1.) DLSU - Not the usual CRDJ-designed jerseys that the lumots have been yearning to see again, but these Nike jerseys worked—clean, sleek, and fits well with their body built. I personally love the subtle electric bolt design touch sa upper part ng tops nila. And while I am not a huge fan of the shade of their green this year (I prefer the darker tones of Seasons 86 & 87), the white jerseys are just *chefs kiss.* With their uniform socks, shoes, leggings (?), arm sleeves, and arm bands, they look intimidating and all-business...typical lady spiker aura.

2.) ATENEO - We have all seen this Nike template last Season 87 and 85. The difference this season though is that these jerseys look more complete and much neater than the ones in 85 (which still used the old Garamond fonts) and 87 (the jerseys were just a little too big for them and they look washed out last year TBH.) This season, they look more decent and consistent with the Ateneo branding. Some may find this look as bland, lazy, or predictable, but I just love the consistency lang talaga. Easy on the eyes kumbaga.

3.) NU - I super love the elegant simplicity of the Adidas fit this year. They look very expensive with the right use of colors this season, especially with the economical use of gold color. I think na-emphasize talaga na they really were the defending champs. I also like na they went back to the same font style for their numbers that they used in Season 84. Wala lang. I just love consistency. To be really nitpicky though, this jersey could be higher sana if not for the questionable white outline sa school name on their dark jerseys.

4.) UP - The regla girls usually always have impeccable jersey designs year by year. Very unique and may character talaga. I am super living for the subtle designs sa jerseys this year and I like it na they bannered tri-colors again. Black looks good on them. However, something just seems to be lacking lang this year na wala masyadong oomph factor yung dating nila. I cant exactly pinpoint why. Is it because the top looks crouded? The lack of uniformity in terms of the overall look of the players? Or the jersey number font style?

5.) FEU - Not a fan of the pa-wings na design sa gilid ng tops nila. Sana gamitin nila yung font style nung isa sa mga off-season jerseys nila, at least yun, it is somehow connected with their FEU branding. This one looks very uncoordinated. I wish they brought back their black jerseys from the previous seasons. Ang lakas maka army ng datingan nila nun, and it would have been a good nod to the fact na they have a soldier as head coach. What I like this season though, is that the outfits hug their body well. Parang ang gaan nilang tingnan maglaro.

6.) ADAMSON - I am not a huge fan of the side designs of their jerseys. The slight change in design sa shoulder area between the dark and light jerseys, while not really bad for me, is just still meh pa rin. Anyway, this is really not a bad look per se. If there's any consolation, I like na they used the same colors for their tops and shorts. They look more complete and magaan sa mata.

7.) UST - I was expecting better designs from UST, especially na sila ang host. I am not a huge fan sa pa-gradient effect sa jersey numbers and the cringey yellow outline sa 'UST' on their white kits. I find these design choices very tacky. However, I love the shade of gold this season. Talaga nga namang medyo golden na siya than last year's almost neon yellow.

8.) UE - Every year UE surprises us with new designs—designs na para bang hindi man lang pinag-isipan. The lack of consistency season after season just screams utter disregard for the school's character. I do not like the cut of their tops. I hate the font style. I prefer the ones they wore last year. Sayang kasi they could all do so much with a red and white color scheme. I am the biggest fan of minimalism pero this one is really giving mema talaga.

Telepono ghorls... And they have a bisita 👀

While other teams already back in training last Monday for the On Tour Preseason, kakastart palang ng telepono ghorls sa training with visitors. Renee Mabilangan and Anne Asis (who I think maxed out all of her playing years).

And no, they'll not get Ann Asis immediately. Siyempre dadaan pa rin siya sa draft. Most draftees ay nakikitrain na sa mga PVL teams weeks before combine and before the selection night. Ginagamit nila itong opportunity to introduce themselves to the coaches and maging sa existing pool of players. Di yan pagiging FC (feeling close), ang tawag doon, establishing a connection. They have to show a remarkable performance para coming draft night, marerecall ka ng coaching staff and managers para maging priority pick

Jho Maraguinot’s new job as a receptionist sa Sunny 16 Lab

WHAT IF NAG DLSU SI CELINE MARSH?

Former BEST OH in Junior's Division. Do you guys think na celine could've been utilized had she chosen dlsu. I honestly feel like malaki sana ma improve niya cause she got the height and the skills naman. I mean it's coach RAMIL... do you guys think she would've been used more or more so put in the first 6?

Akari/Nxled, may sariling practice facility na!

Akala ko Rebisco lang may paganto. Aba, surprise, may ganito din pala ang Akari for the Chargers and the Nxled Chameleons. Even the WMPBL basketball Sparks team uses the facility.

We didn't even hear any groundbreaking ceremony nor construction updates from the company.

Anyway, congrats on the new facility!

AV, THIS IS SO DISAPPOINTING AND DISRESPECTFUL TO JIA!!!

Please do better, Alyssa!

If reports are true, please, decline the offer just like what Jia did!

If you choose to accept it, then u just proved that you’re really an enabler of an abusive and corrupt system.
Please consider what Jia and the whole Alas would feel if you choose to be an enabler of the evil and selfish old guys in the PNVF.

What we hope you to do is to voice out for the players that once became your teammates sa national team, fans, and to those players who look up to you and are dreaming to play for the country.

As the “face of PH Volleyball,” as they claimed you are, and as the most followed Pinay VB player, super frustrating na ni minsan walang narinig sa’yo na anything to call out the problematic actions ng PNVF.

This is definitely the perfect timing to use your influence, AV, and not to be a vehicle of tolerance sa basurang pamamahala nila Liao at Palou.

Your influence is much much bigger than any volleyball player that we have in the country right now.

So please do better, Alyssa!
