A Plague Tale: Requiem on RTX 4050 laptop — Best settings on High to fully eliminate stuttering/FPS drops (windowed mode)?

Hey all, running A Plague Tale: Requiem on an Acer Nitro Lite 16 (RTX 4050, i5, 16GB DDR5 RAM). Currently playing on High preset in windowed mode, but I still get stuttering and FPS drops throughout the whole game — not just in cities/crowded areas, but pretty much everywhere.

Looking for:

  • A specific config (not just the preset) that keeps frame times rock solid across the entire game, cities and open areas alike
  • Whether any individual setting on High is the actual culprit (texture streaming pool, shadow cache, crowd density, ray tracing if enabled, etc.)
  • Any "hidden" or non-obvious tweaks that make a real difference on RTX 4050-class laptops specifically in windowed mode

Has anyone with a similar RTX 4050 laptop dialed in a setup that runs completely smooth on High? Would love to see your exact settings menu if possible. Thanks!

New to the game!

Heard a plethora of great things about these games. Can’t wait to jump into it and be a part of this community. Only thing I’m curious about is, what other game(s) can you relate this to?

I just finished the game and so many things left unexplained its genuinely frustrating

I mean i spent time on it. I loved it in the beginning.. but its still such a vague ass story and it keeps getting worse towards the end.

Ive been going back and forth with claude to understand even if it contains spoilers from the sequels and all the responses coming back are ( weak plot missing detail)

This game would have been 9/10 if it explained shit.. but i ended up finishing it angry than having fun because the most fun was the story and it ends up with 300 loopholes ffs
