Im considering a Strattos 7, curious how everyone has found the sizing.
Using their fit guide hasnt been the most helpful.
5'8" (173 cm) with a 32" (81 cm) inseam. Debating between S and M. My Xtrada is a M and fits well but I dont know how much that translates. My current trek road bike is a 54 cm and slightly too big.
New Siskui T8 (non UDH) from my recent preorder - very annoying creak. Happens no matter if I’m pedaling, coasting, standing, or sitting. I can recreate it by pushing or pulling the pedals toward the frame. Doesn’t matter if the chain is on or off. I’ve swapped pedals too.
I’ve stripped the bike down completely to the frame, cleaned, greased, and properly torqued to spec:
headset cups and bearings
stem bolts
shock mounting hardware and interfaces
bottom bracket threads and crank spindle
crank bolts
all suspension pivot hardware and bearings
popped off all bearing seals and packed them with more grease
seat post and seat clamp
thru axles and wheel mounting interfaces
installed Jagwire damper housing on all internal cables
Only thing I can think of would be either a faulty bottom bracket, or some of the pivot bearings were pretty notchy… definitely not smooth.
The bike only has maybe 60 miles on it, maybe 20 of which are actual trail miles. This bike has been a pain since I got it…
shift lever threads were stripped from factory
derailleur hanger was bent from factory
internal cable rattle was awful from factory
headset had no grease at all from factory
shipped with resin only rotors and metallic pads from factory
and now I’m constantly chasing creaks and pops on this thing.
Probably going to take it to my local bike shop and have them diagnose it.
But… any advice?
Found these trails by accident, didn’t even know I had trails within three miles of my house. Anyway the Sisku T8 is doing great, she is definitely my favorite. Still ride the Xtrada 7 but the sisku just rocks!! I must admit she is a little heavy, but just more for the workout. Guys have a great day, may all your dirt be hero dirt.
