v 26.2.2 (build 3) Playback Error

Self-taught Premiere Pro user here, and I’ve never experienced an issue a quick Google search can’t solve until now.

I’m editing content for work where I did not shoot the majority of the footage. Most of the b-roll was shot on an Android. Interviews were shot on a Canon. Playback randomly stops in the middle of workflow. Playback also stops if I click out of the application. Here’s what I’ve done to try to resolve the issue in no particular order.

  1. Updated the software to its latest version.
  2. Downgraded to the version before that.
  3. Uninstalled and reinstalled the application.
  4. Used the latest version of Premiere 2025.
  5. New projects and sequences with JUST the camera footage.
  6. Changing the codec on the phone footage to DNxHR.
  7. Cleared the Cache (did this multiple times).
  8. Updated to Sequoia 15.7.7.
  9. Tried creating a new project on my laptop on the latest version of PP.
  10. Reset application preferences.
  11. Changed to “enable Mercury Transmit.”

Total RAM available for Premiere is 72 GB. Interview footage is a .mp4. All footage imported is washed out in playback, but looks different when exported. None of this has been an issue before now. It’s as if everything changed overnight and I don’t know what happened. I’m using a fairly new device—2025 Mac Studio/Apple M3 Ultra. I get about five to ten minutes of work in if I’m lucky before it lags out. Anything would be helpful. I’ve been troubleshooting for what feels like days.

Premiere Pro 2020 - Video Export Freezes For One Specific Video Clip

So I am trying to send videos of recorded Minecraft footage via Gmail, however I am exporting it through Premiere Pro 2020 first to reduce the file size (original video size is 19.5gb, only have 15gb available on Google Drive). I have gone through this process with three other recordings, with them all being correctly condensed and exported by Premiere Pro 2020, including an hour long video that I was able to export in two halves (this will be important).

My issue is that the first of these four recordings refuses to export correctly: all I want to do is place the MP4 file into Premiere Pro 2020 and export it, however everytime I try to do this it freezes at a given point depending on how much of the video I am attempting to do. For instance, if I try to export the entire video (1hr 6mins 53secs) it freezes at 2%, when I tried to export it in two halves it froze at about 10%, and even when I tried to export the first few minutes it froze at about 42%. Like I said before, I didn't have this problem for any of the other recordings, and the fourth recording was able to be exported in two halves with no issues whatsoever despite being a longer total length (1hr 9mins 59secs).

I have been attempting to export the videos using the following settings (everything else has been left on its default setting:

- Preset of YouTube 1080p Full HD

- Use Maximum Render Quality

I have also tested exporting with the default preset of "Match Source - High Bitrate" for the first video, however I continue to run into the same problem. I tried to use Handbrake to encode the video as well, however I was left with an "error" and no explanation.

For reference, here are my PC Specs:

- Windows 10 OS

- Nvidia GTX1060 6gb

- AMD Ryzen 5 1600x six core 3.20ghz

- 16gb RAM (4 slots of 4gb I believe)

- 1.81tb HDD (324gb available)

- 222gb SSD (49.6gb available)

Here are the software and video details:

- Premiere Pro 2020

- OBS Studio recording

- MP4 video file (H.264 (AVC) Codec)

If anyone has any solutions that they could offer, that would be greatly appreciated, I can also provide more information if needed. Thank you so much in advance! :)

If we save our .prproj and .prin files + all it's assets in google drive and decide to redownload it back from same drive, would it reload it's saved files into premiere pro? (basically would it still work?)

I'm currently using the 2025 version and I do know about Media Encoder saving it, but I like to have an extra backup in case my computer needs extra space to work on another project. Is what I said in the title feasible? As anyone else done something like that with their projects?

Premiere Pro 2026 Color Differences after Export

Hey guys, I apologize if this was already asked and answered somewhere, but I couldn't find my exact issue.

I am using Dehancer to grade my footage in Premiere Pro, and every single time I export the video in H.264 format, the colors look washed out, sometimes more, sometimes less. I know there is some issue with iPhone footage and Premiere Pro, but I shoot everything in Log and it looks great on my timelines. I've tried playing around with the color management tool, but nothing really helped to be honest. The issue also get's bigger when looking at the video on my iPhone screen (iPhone 13). Maybe it's a problem with Dehancer? I tried grading it without any external plugin and it seems to be a bit lesser of a problem - not quite sure though.

I appreciate the help and thanks in advance!
