r/PremierePro

Used the enhance speech in essential sounds, now for some reason its repeating the first bit of audio in the whole clip. It's always before I start speaking. Why did this happen and any ideas on how I fix it?

Hi everyone,

I'm having trouble importing a Kick VOD into Adobe Premiere Pro.

Details:

  • Source: Downloaded from Kick VOD
  • Duration: ~2 hours
  • Resolution: 1920×1080
  • Frame rate: 60 FPS
  • File plays perfectly in VLC.
  • Premiere Pro shows the error: "The file has an unsupported compression type."

I've already tried:

  • Remuxing the file in OBS.
  • Changing my OBS recording encoder from AV1 to H.264 for future recordings.
  • Updating Premiere Pro.
  • The file still won't import.

Has anyone experienced this with Kick VOD downloads?

Could this be because of the codec, variable frame rate, or the way Kick encodes long VODs? If so, what's the best way to convert it without losing noticeable quality?

Hi everyone,

I'm having trouble importing a Kick VOD into Adobe Premiere Pro.

System

  • OS: Windows 11 Pro 25H2 (Build 26200.8875)
  • Premiere Pro: 2024
  • CPU: Intel Core Ultra 7 255H
  • RAM: 16 GB
  • GPU: NVIDIA RTX 500 Ada Generation Laptop GPU (4 GB VRAM)

Video Details

  • Source: Downloaded from a Kick VOD
  • File Size: 4.71 GB
  • Duration: 2 hours 5 minutes
  • Resolution: 1920×1080
  • Frame Rate: 60.000 FPS
  • Container: MP4 (MPEG-4)
  • Video Codec: AVC (H.264 High)
  • Audio Codec: AAC LC (44.1 kHz, 2 channels)
  • Bit Rate Mode: Variable

The video plays perfectly in VLC Media Player, but when I try to import it into Premiere Pro, I get the following error:

>

Things I've already tried

  • Updated Premiere Pro.
  • Remuxed the file using OBS.
  • Verified that the video plays correctly in VLC.
  • Restarted Premiere Pro and Windows.

Other video files import normally into Premiere Pro. This issue only happens with this downloaded Kick VOD.

Since the file uses H.264/AVC and AAC (which Premiere normally supports), I'm wondering if the MP4 container is malformed or if the way the Kick downloader muxed the file is causing Premiere to reject it.

Has anyone run into this before? What's the best way to repair or convert the file without noticeable quality loss?

I've attached the Premiere error and the MediaInfo screenshot.

Thanks!

Any help would be appreciated.

Colour Grading Workflow - Premiere v26

Morning all,

I imagine this will be very simple for some of you. However just need a bit of sense checking.

I have been playing with premiere for years however now starting to play with video more and more.
Previously, I would put an adjustment layer over all footage and change both basic correction and creative on that.
Realised yesterday, that pressing Auto on the Basic correction outputs the same adjustments on every clip.

Am I correct in saying I should do the basic correction on the Clip itself then apply any creative looks on the Adjustment Layer?

Most reliable way to batch attach proxies? V26.3

Does anyone have a reliable workflow for batch-attaching externally created proxies?

I've started recording proxies in-camera, which is saving some time in post. The problem is that Premiere's "Relink Others Automatically" attaches them inconsistently, and I don't want to depend on Premiere to generate proxies itself. I've experimented with renaming the proxies, changing the proxy folder location, and adjusting the relinking criteria settings, but haven't landed on anything consistent.

SOLVED: For me, changing the "Match File Properties" from "File Name" to only "Media Start Time" helped me successfully relink others automatically.
