hi so my roommate and I signed a lease with weida last fall for the upcoming year and she hasn’t paid the last two rent payments. Our lease starts in August and I’m moving in this week and they’re refusing to give me the keys until she pays. I paid my half of the rent on time every single time and they’re refusing to let me move in until she does and due to a family emergency she isn’t able to right now. Does anyone have any experience with a situation like this or with Weida any advice would be appreciated

I’m looking for housing for Fall 2026 only, since I’ll be graduating at the end of the Fall 2026 semester.

I’m flexible about the location and housing type. A studio, one-bedroom apartment, or private room in a shared apartment would all work. I’m mainly looking for a lease or sublease from around August 2026 through December 2026.

I'm a Master student in robotics. I'm looking for a Fall sublease since I graduate in December. I have a car so distance is not a problem. I also have a cat, but he's really chill and just stay in the room most of the time. Looking for someone to take over my lease at Yugo West Lafayette River Market, right by campus and Chauncey Village. It's a 2 Bed, 1.5 Bath Classic Renovated unit, private bedroom, $850/month originally for $1089. Move in earliest August 18th, lease runs through its end date (12 Month). Open to semester takeover as well, Fall or Spring. The unit you'd be taking over is a Private Bedroom, Attached Bath. One Male Roommate in the other Private Bedroom, No Attached Bath.

A few details:

• Building is smoke free with keycard access for security
• Utilities included: water, trash, internet, etc.
• Amenities: 6 on-site laundry rooms (one per floor), 24-hour fitness center, coffee bar, TV lounge

Hi everyone! I’m an incoming Purdue graduate student looking for housing recommendations in West Lafayette or Lafayette for the upcoming academic year.

I’m specifically looking for a place that:

• Is close to Purdue and walkable or easily accessible by public transportation
• Has a decent number of Purdue graduate students living there
• Is preferably a 1 bed/1 bath or studio, but I’m open to roommates if I can have a private bedroom
• Is reasonably priced for a grad student

I’d really appreciate recommendations from current or former Purdue grad students who have firsthand experience with different apartments or neighborhoods. What places would you recommend that meet these criteria?

My budget is around $1,000/month, ideally including utilities and other fees. I also have two cats, so the place would need to be pet-friendly. Location and proximity to campus aren’t important to me.

TLDR: Purdue student enlisting with Air Force or Space Force, giving away for free the stuff he has in storage.

My son is a Purdue student who is enlisting with Space Force (or Air Force), so he won't be coming back to Purdue for at least 4 years.  He currently has stuff in storage with Scholar Storage that he will no longer need.  The storage is fully paid for including delivery to any location within 3 miles from Purdue.

Scholar Storage wants to charge us a disposal fee and rather than flying there (we're based in California) and handling the delivery ourselves just to donate it, we'd rather give it to any student.  Just specify the location, and Scholar Storage will deliver them to you on August 21.

What's Included:

"The Catch":

1. All-or-Nothing: You must accept delivery of all items. You can't pick and choose ("Can I have just the ebike?" -> No.) Whether you keep them, sell them, donate them, or throw away what you don't want is up to you.
2. Fixed Delivery Window: Delivery is set for August 21 between 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM. You must be available at your specified location within 3 miles of campus during that window to receive the call from Scholar Storage and accept the delivery.

1. How do I know this is real?
   If interested, DM me your Purdue email address (@purdue.edu). My son will email you from HIS official Purdue address, and you'll reply from yours to confirm you're both Purdue students. We will then set up a brief Zoom call (parents welcome) where you can ask any questions and view his official USAF / USSF enlistment paperwork.

2. Will I be asked to pay anything?
   NO. Absolutely zero money will exchange hands—no fees, no deposits, no credit card, no Zelle, no PayPal. We already paid for storage and delivery by Scholar Storage within 3 miles of campus.

3. What about the sealed boxes/bags? Can I see inside them?
   We'll send you photos of the stuff in storage, but everything is locked in storage in Indiana while we're in California, so we cannot show you the contents of the boxes or the duffel bags. This is similar to a storage auction where people buy stuff that was left in storage —except your cost is $0 and you know for sure that you are getting an e-bike, mini-fridge, microwave at an absolute minimum.

4. How do I know my time isn't going to be wasted waiting around?
   During our Zoom call, you can watch me live-share my screen while I log into the Scholar Storage website and change the official delivery address to the exact location you specify. You'll see it updated in real-time in their system.

Sublease Takeover: My roommate and I are currently looking to sublease our two units. Sublease is either Fall Semester (8/20/26 - 1/1/27) or full year from 8/20/26 -> 7/31/27. We both are currently locked between 2 leases, and because of this, we’re willing to get off this lease by any means. EDIT: I wanna reclarify a few things about the rent rq. The rent is actually 749/Month without Ulilities, however, they also threw in a 1000 gift card along with my lease once moved in. That would most likely transfer to the new sublease, meaning the true price of rent would be around 749*12 -1000 (655/month for full year). Utilities not included.
