I need urgent advice regarding Quaid-i-Azam University (QAU) admissions. My grandfather passed away yesterday, so I couldn’t complete my admission process on time due to the funeral arrangements.
I applied for English and Political Science under the Self-Support category. I have also taken and passed the USAT exam with 69 Marks. Today when I tried to generate the fee challan, the portal showed "Admission Closed."
QAU is my last option. I am willing to pay any late fees or extra charges required.
Has anyone experienced this before? Does QAU admin accept late requests on compassionate grounds?

The website mentioned that the entry test/interview will be on 25th for mphil programs. Are both on the same day? Aren't just selected students supposed to give interviews? What's the deal?
And what is the difference between regular and self finance?
I’ve been selected for the L.L.B. program at Quaid-i-Azam University for Fall 2026. My admission portal says I need to upload scanned copies of the required documents before submitting the fee challan.
However, I can’t find any option on the portal to upload these documents. Under “Setup Your Application,” I can only see the documents I uploaded previously.
The fee submission deadline is today (18 August), so I’m really confused about what I’m supposed to do.
Has anyone else faced this? Do I need to upload the documents somewhere else, or should I simply submit the fee and provide the documents later?
Any guidance from QAU students or anyone familiar with the admission process would be greatly appreciated!

My sister has been selected for BS Mathematics on a regular seat with an aggregate of 85.7%. BS Physics is her first preference, but she was not selected in the first Physics merit list. If she deposits the Mathematics fee today, will she definitely lose/exhaust her Physics preference? Or can she still be considered for BS Physics in the 2nd or 3rd merit list
i really need to vent about the broken, hypocritical scholarship system in qau. right now if u get into a uni on a self finance or self support seat, ur immediately banned from applying for major scholarships like hec need based or ehsaas. the system uses this lazy logic that if u chose self finance, ur family must be rich enough to afford it. they completely ignore reality.
missing the regular morning merit list by 0.5% doesnt mean ur family suddenly got rich also, its not pay to play. at qau, the self finance list is still highly competitive. the merit score needed for self finance at qau is often way higher than the regular morning merit at many other universities. these students worked hard and earned their seats. treating them like rich kids who bought their way in is just wrong.
the financial logic makes zero sense too. a regular student at an expensive uni like nust can get a need based scholarship. bcz their tuition is so high, the govt spends a massive amount of money on that one student. with that exact same amount of money, they could fund three struggling self finance students at a public uni like qau. the systm would rather spend a fortune on one student than save three poor students at a public college.
what makes it even worse is that these major scholarships require complete bank statements, utility bills, and income certificates anyway.
if the whole point of a scrutiny committee is to check actual financial need, why do they instantly reject self finance students before even looking at their documents? a student whose family is genuinely poor and struggling to pay self finance fees through heavy debts or sacrifices gets automatically blocked by a computer filter.
meanwhile, a student on a regular seat whose family is much more financially stable easily passes through just bcz they have the right seat label. the policy completely defeats the purpose of need based aid by looking at administrative checkboxes instead of actual poverty.
Got my name in the first merit list, all three programmes. Biochem, biotech and microbiology.
Now those who are already studying there help me choose one please. 🥹

Hello I'm going to apply at qau in self support programs I really wanted to do biotechnology but it's not available in self support there's biochemistry but I despise chemistry more than any subject so that's a major no so now I'm gonna go for psychology microbiology and probably computer science because I can't decide any other fields and there are limited options in self support so can anyone please guide me and if these degrees are even worth it from qau or not and if yes then which one is the best one to land me masters opportunity abroad
Yara i got into economics and history with 90% from kp on self and they are making us pay the fee in 1 day like who the hell does it. Anyways if i were not to pay the fee would i be considered in the subsequent merit lists or not. And if i pay the fee and gets into a merit list on merit would they refund me the fee

Me and many of u would have also registered in other institutes and u guys know private universities don't wait for u, one deadline and u need to submit a fee. If not then ur seat is gone.
If I don't wanna put lakh rupees in private college just waiting for the QAU merit list how much of a chance do I have k QAU mn bhi Mera admission hojayega?!?
