Why is it so tough to get a DL in rak?
What are these guys up to? I did not overspeed. Did not underspeed.
I parked in the centre, I took the car out with blinkers on perfectly in the middle of my lane.
Like what? What are these guys seeking?

Hello everyone,
I'm an iraqi man looking to move to the United Arab Emirates , and live in an affordable emirate such as Sharjah, Ajman or RAK , and possibly commute to dubai if a job was found there .
I visited the UAE back in 2019 with no luck in finding a job, I plan to move again now and try my luck once again but I dont want to repeat the same experience in 2019 and end up spending my hard earned money without being able to land any job.
I have lived outside Iraq for over 20 years, I know almost nothing about it however the place that I live in doesn't permit me to work properly so I'm stuck and unable to grow,
I'm now 31 with a bachelor's degree in translation, and in need to end this nightmare and go to another country such as the UAE , there's a lot geopolitical obstacles in the region and Iraqi passport holders might seem like a huge turn off
so I wonder if anyone knows any companies that can sponsor me or help me relocate ? It usually takes 2-3 weeks to get processed but most of these companies are just impatient and want faster alternatives
I checked RAKEZ out and I'm still waiting for their response but in the meantime, I look forward to hearing youre opinions/suggestions!
has anyone tried getting financial aid and scholarships? are they lenient? i saw that they give merit based scholarships upto 70%.. is it really possible?
Guys?? Why are we getting this again?

I don't usually post things like this, but I thought I'd give Reddit a try.
I'm a Chemistry teacher living in Dubai. I have an MSc in Chemistry and have been teaching students online for the last 3 years.
I'm married, and my husband is supportive of me financially, so thankfully my family isn't in a difficult situation. But there is something personal I'd really like to do on my own.
My younger sister is planning her higher studies, and I want to contribute towards her education.
My husband has told me many times that I don't need to worry about the financial side of things, and I genuinely appreciate that. But as a sister, I would really like to be able to say:
"I helped you get there."
That's honestly the reason I'm trying to take on a few more Chemistry students rather than simply sitting at home.
I normally teach IGCSE, CBSE and ICSE Chemistry, mainly Grades 8–12, through online one-to-one classes.
One of my previous ICSE students achieved an A in Chemistry, which I'm still quite proud of.
I'm not looking to build some huge tutoring business. I'd just like to teach a few students properly, earn something independently, and put that money towards my sister's education.
If anyone here has a child who genuinely struggles with Chemistry, I'd be happy to have a conversation. No pressure at all.
And if tuition isn't something you need, that's completely fine too. Even if this post simply reaches the right person, I'll be grateful.
Thank you for reading. ❤️

Hey everyone,
Sorry for posting this again ,I saw a post asking about this a few days ago, but I think it got deleted or I couldn't find any replies on it.
I am looking to sell some gold for cash here in the but I am absolute trash at negotiating. I really just want to go somewhere straightforward where I don’t get lowballed too much.
Does anyone have recommendations for a shop that offers a solid price based on current value.?
Thanks in advance :)

Hi Everyone,
I would like to know if there is any option to borrow this small amount of 2k as I need it for an hospital emergency purpose,I will payback asap max within 1 month but I don't have cheque book or anything to give security but I am ready to give my original ID or license as security as this is the only thing I have now.
It will be a great support if anyone can do this favour urgently.
Please dont put any bad comments if you can't help.
Thank you.
Guys how do you spend your time/dayoffs here in RAK?? I will tell you my highlight. I moved here 10 months back because of work, initially I had planned that I would shift back to Dubai/sharjah once my project is over but I liked the place and the laidback life here with no rush and everything that you look for a comfortable life being easily available. Now I travel to Dubai for work and I come back timely too with not much issue as I am used to driving long routes since last 7 years. But on holiday it feels a bit boring here. Yesterday night I watched a movie, once completed felt very bored, I decided to go and do a bit of running at mairid corniche so that I could sleep when my body would be tired(yup funny but i do that sometimes a bit of weightlifting too and it has worked till now)
Hey guys
I would love to witness this meteor shower in RAK but I don’t know where to go. I think Jabal Jais is still closed, but I think it is not dark enough either way? Could someone suggest good dark spots in RAK please

Hi everyone,
I run a small Amazon FBA business in the UAE through a Free Zone company, and I’m currently looking for an accountant/accounting firm to handle the financial and tax side of the business.
The business is still relatively small, with roughly 5–20 transactions per month (sales, expenses, etc.), so the bookkeeping volume is quite low.
Ideally, I’m looking for someone who can handle:
- General bookkeeping
- UAE Corporate Tax / CT filing
- VAT registration
- VAT returns/filing
- FTA-related compliance and submissions
- General accounting/tax support when needed
For anyone running a similarly small e-commerce or Amazon FBA business in the UAE, how much are you paying per month for this?
Also, if you have an accountant or firm you’ve had a good experience with, I’d really appreciate any recommendations.
Thanks!
Hey, so I recently got admitted into the MD program in RAKMHSU. I got my visa, booked tickets, got my student ID, payed the first sem fee. And now they’re sending me an email saying theres gonna be an entrance exam for maths?! It didn’t have my name or my program just a blank mail saying there’s gonna be an entrance exam. What do I do. And it’s a weekend so I can’t even call them. And I wasn’t informed prior so I don’t know how I can prepare (it’s on 17th). Can anyone tell me if MD students are required to attend this?
Trying to figure out the logistics of my travel plans 🥹
I want to go for outdoor activities like hiking
Is there any way, I can ask for discount from government. I got 2 fines of speed 600 aed and both in Ras Al Khaimah.
