Work visa rejected in Fujairah, employer is reapplying through Dubai. Has anyone experienced this?

Hi everyone,

I recently accepted a job offer in the UAE. My employer applied for my work visa through Fujairah, but the application was rejected. The rejection document only says "Rejected." HR told me it was due to a security issue, but no further explanation was provided.

The company hasn't withdrawn my offer and is now submitting a new application through Dubai.

A few details:

Indian passport holder
First UAE employment visa
Never lived or worked in the UAE
No previous UAE visa issues
No criminal record

I'm just trying to understand if anyone has been in a similar situation.

Has a Dubai application been approved after a Fujairah rejection?
How long did the second application take?
Were you ever able to find out the actual reason for the rejection?

I'd really appreciate hearing from anyone who has experienced something similar. Thanks!

A few brutal truths about getting a mortgage in Dubai right now (from a mortgage consultant)

Hey guys,

Following up on my last post since a lot of people DMed me with pretty much the same issues. I’m noticing a massive gap between what buyers think they can afford and what UAE banks are actually approving right now.

If you’re planning to buy soon, here are three reality checks based on deals I’ve had to rescue over the last month:

- Your credit card limits are killing your borrowing power. It doesn’t matter if you clear your balance to zero every month. The bank looks at your total credit limit and takes a percentage (5%) of that as a monthly liability. If you have a couple of high-limit cards you barely use, cancel them or slash the limits before applying.

- The 20% down payment is a lie. Well, it's not a lie, but it’s not the full story. You need closer to 26% or 27% in cash to actually close a deal because of the 4% DLD fee, agency commissions, valuation fees, and bank admin costs. If you only have exactly 20% saved up, you cannot afford that property yet.

- Stop relying on website calculators. They don't factor in your specific Debt Burden Ratio (DBR) or the Central Bank's actual stress-test rates.
Things are moving fast out there and banks are getting picker by the week.

If you’re trying to figure out your actual budget, confused about whether to fix your rate now or trying to pull equity out of your current place while valuations are high, drop a comment.
No sales pitch, just happy to give some straight answers. What’s everyone currently shopping for?

Lady in my Neighbourhood

In my neighbourhood there’s a lady who has been an absolute pain. She claims to be a Dr & so does her husband but they have absolutely 0 civic sense.

She initially befriends other people & convinces their kids to play with her kids (claiming that nobody wants to play with her kids). Then she deliberately starts a fight with the parents claiming that they hit her child/ children.

Then she makes sure to take revenge by asking other kids in the neighbourhood to not play with that particular child who “hit” her kid (they didn’t hit her child to be honest), which leads to exclusion and bullying.

(Her husband who is a well-known Dr here also supports his wife’s dirty antics : / )

She particularly targets those children whose parents are not involved in the neighbourhood parties. 2-3 cases have happened so far, & unfortunately, my friend’s child was targeted.

Since then, my friend has stopped sending her kid for play because sometimes when she sent him out, the other kids beat him.

In the UAE, how do we tackle these kind of neighbours?

Looking for used cars in Ras Al Khaimah

I’m looking for a used car in or around Ras Al Khaimah with a budget of AED 15k to 20k. I can stretch to around AED 25k if it’s genuinely worth it.

I’m mainly looking for sedans, preferably:
• Nissan Altima/Maxima
• Lexus (Sedan)
• Toyota Corolla/Camry/Avalon

I’m also open to other reliable sedan recommendations.
My preferences are:
• GCC spec only
• Automatic transmission
• Clean title (no major accident history or flood damage)
• Well maintained with service history if available

I’m happy to consider both individual sellers and trusted used car dealerships.

If you have any recommendations or know someone selling a good car, I’d really appreciate it.

Thank you!
