
Redlands Cooling Centers
The city of Redlands invites residents to beat the heat by visiting one of the city’s cooling centers this summer. Residents can enjoy air-conditioned facilities, complimentary bottled water (donated by Stater Bros.), hydration refill stations, and a variety of activities and seasonal programming at the city’s senior centers and the Gonzales Community Center.
Summer activities include ice cream socials, karaoke, fitness classes, games, arts and crafts, educational programs and many other opportunities to keep active while staying cool.
Cooling Center Hours
• Joslyn Senior Center, 21 Grant Street
9 a.m.–3 p.m. Tuesday through Friday
• Flores Senior Center, 111 W. Lugonia Avenue
8 a.m.–2 p.m. Monday through Friday
• Joe R. Gonzales Community Center, 111 W. Lugonia Avenue
2 p.m.–9 p.m. Monday through Friday
Residents are encouraged to stay hydrated, spend time in air-conditioned spaces, avoid prolonged outdoor activities during peak heat, and check on family, friends and neighbors during periods of high temperatures.
