This week on my backlog journey I'm tackling Gun on the PS2 using Nethersx2 on my Ayn Thor.
Hope you like it as much as I did.

Waddup peeps,
Long story short, I was an academic throughout high school and varsity, so I missed out on everything after Need For Speed: Underground 2 as a PC gamer before high school. I couldn't afford too many games, so I just used the PC for a variety of illicit acts (from which I've since retired).
I'm trying to complete the 7th Generation before firing up my PS4 or beginning gaming on my editing/programming PC.
This year, I've been completing a game per month (list is below the post)
My issue currently is that all the games that are objectively appreciated by everyone are kind of "meh" to me (ie: inFamous, Last Of Us, Uncharted) and I think it may be because these are all RPGS? And feel like "playing through a movie" - and I usually hate watching TV.
I LOVED Gears of War (completed all three), LOVED Call Of Duty, and I dig Halo. The stealth stuff like Splinter Cells are a bit too slow-paced for me. Also, what do you mean "open world"?? I need beginning and end lol.
Can you guys help me pick out some more games that are more "my style"?
(ChatGPT just goes according to "best-selling" type lists that don't really serve a contrarian like myself lol)

Current Completed Games:
Uncharted 2InfamousBattlefield 3 (didn't like all the non-shooting parts here. Like, who wants to fly a chopper????)Halo 1, 2Gears of War 3COD Black Ops ICOD 2
Specifically concerning games for 5th and 6th Gen consoles plus Wii, as they are designed for rendering to output lower than 16:9 frame-res FHD (1920×1080p) and basic HD (1280×720p) but instead 1080i, 720i, 480p, 576i, and 480i. The progressive-scan one (480p) is easier to reproduce accurately with modern flatpanels than any interlaced, but a 4:3 SD window is still non-standard for most modern stuff.
In the absence of new CRTs and discontinuation of EDTV flatpanels (plasma et LCD at 480p 4:3 or wider) manufactured, what options do folks have for an accurate fidelic low-latency audiovideo presentation of the game (particularly live gameplay)? Be it original hardware with proprietary AV connections/adapters and a specialized flatpanel, or an accurate emulation-port with appropriate upscaling (minimal or more advamced), or combination or/and something else depending on particular console et such as required.
