Not ready for refill

I switched to a higher Wegovy dose TODAY-one pill!! Ro is asking me to set up my next delivery. Huh? I have no idea if I want to stay on this dose, and there’s no way to make a comment on the app. Why is their timing so off?

Will Ro continue with the dosage I’m currently on from my previous doctor?

I’ve been on Wegovy for a few years and I’m currently on 7.2. I recently changed insurances so my doctor is now out of network so I decided to sign up for Ro for ease and convenience. Will Ro be able to prescribe me the dosage I’m currently on or will I have to restart from the beginning?

Help!

I’m taking 5 mg of the zepbound Kwikpen. There is always a little extra in each pen and I don’t want to waste it. I have 1 ml syringes. How many ml do I need to take 5 mg?
My kwikpen says 20mg/2.4 ml

GLP-1s and alcohol: what to know if you’re drinking this weekend

With Fourth of July this weekend, I thought it’d be helpful to share a few things to know about drinking alcohol while on a GLP-1.

GLP-1s aren’t known to have a dangerous direct interaction with alcohol, but that doesn’t mean alcohol feels the same for everyone while taking them.

Some few things to keep in mind:

  • Alcohol may hit differently. Some people say they feel buzzed faster, while others say they don’t feel as interested in drinking or don’t feel the effects the same way.
  • It may make side effects worse. Alcohol can irritate your stomach and may make nausea, reflux, indigestion, or stomach discomfort more noticeable.
  • You may want to be extra mindful around dose day. If you tend to feel side effects most strongly right after your dose (or on a specific day after dosing) that may not be the best time to drink.
  • Try not to drink on an empty stomach. Eating beforehand may help reduce stomach irritation and can be especially important for people watching blood sugar.
  • Hydrate. Drinking water between alcoholic drinks can help, especially if you’re outside in the heat.
  • Be mindful of sugary drinks. Cocktails, frozen drinks, and mixers can add a lot of sugar and calories quickly.

If you do drink, taking it slow and checking in with how you feel is the move.

Has anyone noticed alcohol feels different since starting a GLP-1?

Why No Answers, Ro?

July 1 has arrived, and the Medicare Bridge program is live. Despite being asked more than once how ro will assist those already on the meds through them in accessing the Bridge program, the answer so far has been crickets. Also, ro has been asked to let their members know for how much longer the Zep vials will be available before ro discontinues them.

Ro, members have decisions to make. I have to decide in the next week or two whether to renew my multi month membership, which is based on access to vials. Since memberships are nonrefundable, I need information. Until now, I have been very happy with my membership but these communication gaps leave me very frustrated, especially when I am paying $$ for support. Please help your community by providing the answers that Alice has promised.

End of rant.

How to switch to a multi-month Ro Body membership

I’ve been getting some questions about how to switch from a monthly Ro Body membership to a multi-month plan, so resharing the basics here!

Ro Body members can choose a 3-, 6-, or 12-month membership in their Ro account. Multi-month memberships let you prepay and save on the membership cost.

Current membership options:

  • Monthly: $149/month
  • 3-month: $297 every 3 months — $99/month
  • 6-month: $534 every 6 months — $89/month
  • 12-month: $888 every 12 months — $74/month

Please note: GLP-1 medication is not included in the membership cost and is billed separately.

How to switch:

Go to Membership and subscriptions in your Ro account. From there, you can view your membership details, see available multi-month options, select your billing cadence, and check out.

Your multi-month membership will start after your current month ends. It renews automatically, and you’ll be charged at the start of each billing period.

Can you cancel?

Yes, you can cancel anytime in your Ro account. Membership fees are nonrefundable, but you’ll still have access to your benefits and can keep requesting and receiving refills of your GLP-1 prescription until the end of your prepaid period.

You can also manage your medication subscription and view upcoming charges from Membership and subscriptions in your account.

Weekly support questions: refills, orders, and shipping

Hi everyone! This weekly thread is here to help keep questions about refills, order processing, tracking, held orders, and shipping in one place.

We’ve also made a few updates to make the shipping process more transparent, including more visibility into where your next shipment stands. You can read more here: LINK

If you have a general question about your refill, order status, held order, processing timeline, or shipping, feel free to ask it below or send me a PM.

A few quick notes:

If your order says “processing”
Your order may still be moving through the required steps before it ships. Timing can vary depending on your order, treatment plan, and where it is in the process. Processing typically takes 1–4 days.

If your order is “held”
A held order usually means there’s something that needs to happen before the order can move forward. If you have questions about a held order, you can ask them in this thread or check your Ro account for any next steps.

If you’re waiting on a refill
Refill timing can vary. In some cases, additional review or information may be needed before the next order can move forward. Refills are typically processed close to the last dose of your current medication.

If you’re waiting on tracking
Tracking is typically shared once it’s available for your order. There may be some time between an order being processed and tracking becoming available.

If tracking says delivered but you don’t have your package
Check your Ro account for the most up-to-date shipping details. You may also want to check around your front door, lobby, mailroom, package room, or with neighbors/building staff. If it still hasn’t turned up, reach out to Ro Support through your account so the team can help look into it.

Please don’t share personal health information, prescription details, addresses, screenshots with identifying information, or order numbers publicly in this thread.

Really like the new update Ro!

I think a lot of users will appreciate this new update you guys have incorporated. I’ve also noticed support/provider messaging has gotten a lot faster since the surge of new members back in March/April. Just wanted to say I appreciate everything you guys do, including u/AliceFromRo.

A year ago, I would have eaten all four

I am super proud of myself. I had a rep stop by my office today and dropped off four large cheese danishes. Which are my favorites. (I work by myself). I would have in the past eating all four of them even if it was over a few days. And I would not have told anybody I even got them. Today before I even opened the package I text my husband and told him for one of the boys to stop by my office on their break and pick them up that they could have them. I did tell him I was going to eat one of the cheese danishes. I ended up taking one out. I ate about half of it and put the rest of it in the container and gave that to them. To me this is just unbelievable. I’m so proud of myself and how far I’ve come. I’ve been on Zepbound now 16 months and I would not change anything that I’ve gone through to get here. the last 16 months has had its challenges, but the ultimate goal has been achieved and incredible.

How Much Longer Will Zep Vials be Available From Ro?

I understand Ro is phasing out Zep vials. On what date will they no longer be made available?

As a side note, I wish that this was not true. I’m on my 4th box of vials and am very happy with them. Being forced to transition to the Kwikpen means higher prescription cost and needle purchases.

Zepbound

I just got approved for Zepbound via Ro (cash payment). I'd prefer to do the single dose pens versus the KwikPens due to the preservatives, but was quoted $1,050 for a month's worth of single dose pens versus $299 per month for the KwikPen which has a month's worth of medication within a single pen. Does that amount for the single dose pens sound right? $1,050 per month seems pretty wild to me. Surely there's a way to go about getting the single dose pens without paying this much?

Goal!

Wanted to share some positive results. Started Ro (Zepbound pens) 2/1/25 and with one exception (2 months on 5mg), titrated up every month until 15mg. I’m 58F, 5’10” - started at 239lbs, now 143 lbs. (145 was my goal). Almost 17 months ago, I was at the end of my rope when after 3 or 4 failed attempts to properly fill out my prior authorization form over a 5 month period, my pcp threw up his hands in defeat and said “it probably won’t work for you anyway.” He suggested I lose weight on my own. 🙄 I absolutely knew my insurance company covered Zepbound, and I was more than qualified. In desperation, I contacted Ro, and within a few days, I picked up my first box of pens at my local pharmacy. I have no regrets going through Ro, but realize I am fortunate to have full insurance coverage. I would have had to pay a $75 copay to see my pcp each month to get refill scripts, so the sheer convenience of using Ro providers has been worth the financial cost to me. Thank you Ro (and this group for all the great information.)

When UPS fucks up, does Ro help?

My package is at the local UPS according to tracking. It’s been there since 5am Friday. Why it never went out for delivery yesterday is beyond me. Apparently UPS doesn’t work on weekends though because they updated delivery until Monday. It’s hard to believe that the ice packs will keep the temperature sufficient.

Now I’m wondering if Ro ships packages with insurance?? The idea of having ruined $450 meds delivered and needing to buy them again is really going to grind my gears.

What kind of AMA would you want to see next?

We’ve done a couple AMAs in here with experts, including a clinical psychologist and a physician board-certified in obesity medicine and I’d love to hear what would be most helpful next.

What kind of AMA would you be interested in?

A few ideas:

  • Registered dietitian / nutrition expert
  • Fitness or strength training expert
  • Another obesity medicine doctor
  • Someone who’s been on a GLP-1 long-term

I’ll also re-share the past AMAs in the comments for anyone who missed them.

Let me know in the comments so I can get something cooking!

We’re making it easier to track upcoming shipments

We know shipping and order status questions come up here a lot, especially around when your next shipment is expected and what step your order is currently in.

We heard you and are rolling out a new shipment transparency feature to make this easier to track. This feature will be rolling out on web only first, with iOS coming later this week.

You may now see more details about your upcoming shipment, including statuses like:

  • Estimated for next month: Your next shipment is expected next month, but it may not be ready for action yet.
  • Refill eligible: You may be eligible to start the refill process.
  • Check-in completed: Your check-in has been submitted and the next step is review.
  • Approved: Your refill has been approved and is moving toward fulfillment.
  • Processing: Your order is being prepared.
  • In transit: Your shipment is on the way.
  • Delivered: Your shipment has been delivered.
  • Held: There’s something you may need to do before the shipment can move forward.
  • Canceled: The shipment or refill is no longer moving forward.

The goal is to give you more visibility before and during the refill process, instead of only seeing updates once an order is already created or shipped.

A couple things to keep in mind.

  • If your shipment says “held” or shows that an action is needed, check your account for next steps
  • If something looks off or you’re worried about timing, especially around travel or running out of medication, it’s still best to contact support

Below are a few screenshots so you can see what the new status updates look like- let me know if you have any questions!

Support is atrocious

my husband and I have new insurance and both submitted this to Ro. We have submitted this new info and Ro has been giving us both different run around about if our new insurance covers wegovy (it does) if we need PA (we do) and if it had been sent (ro had not).

Their AI support is atrocious and it is impossible to get a consistent, accurate response.

and now we are about to go a full subscription month with successfully filling a prescription.

is anyone else dealing with these issues?

Asking for 9mg dose increase before finishing the 4mg bottle

I am currently on 4mg and JUST started a bottle (my 2nd month of 4mg). However, my Ro app asked me to do a check-in. I said I'd like to do another month of 4mg. What if I get it and it starts not working? Do they send a higher dose if I want it? Do I get a refund? Do I keep the old bottle? Thanks!

Don’t PREPAY unless you’re sure you’re sure you’re going to use it!

I prepaid $669 for a 6-month supply of Compounded Semaglutide and have received 4 vials to date. This past weekend, I experienced severe lower abdominal cramps and reported this to a Ro Provider. The doctor advised me to stop the medication for now and he cancelled my upcoming order.
Immediately following this consultation, I received a notification that my account has been cancelled. I have been informed that I will neither receive the remaining 2 vials nor a refund for them. I don’t think that’s fair but Ro disagrees. So, my advice: Pay monthly.
