Hello! I decided I wanted to start a roleplay server on discord based on RF4. A fantasy game made by Natsume. It’s very easy lore to follow if you haven’t ever played, and are welcome to join that. I already have things setup for the most part but I came here for staff and members ! You can choose a character from the list of canons or make an oc! Welcome to the land of Eryndor! A world vast with cities, castles, politics, dungeons, monsters. But of course, you know none of that.

From atop the stony hill upon which Ashen Reach Keep sits, you see dry, grey wasteland to the east and forest to the west with scattered mountains spotting the horizon. On occasion, travelers, merchants, and political envoys may traipse through town but they never stay long and a commoner like you would certainly have no opportunity to interact. Your days are spent serving Master Hillkurtz; you might work the kitchens, patrol the wall, swab his chamber pot, either way your days are drab and meaningless.

As luck would have it, you are afforded the opportunity to escape along with a few other townspeople. For the first time in your life, the next chapter of the story is up to you....

Hi everyone, Eryndor needs 3 to 4 PCs who are interested in building out the world. This is meant to be a very sandboxy, open world, base building game.

When the PCs escape, they will start a new village in a location of their choosing. The rest is up to you, do you focus on building new homes? Maybe you insert yourself in regional politics? Do you offer protection from the monsters that prowl in the night? My intention and design of this world is meant to be very collaborative, I want the players to help define the world as we go - nothing is set in stone until it written in a scene.

My original intention was to use 5e rules for think a less formal structure might be better, even fully written RP. Once the players are set we will decide as a group how to proceed.

Who/what Eryndor seeks:

- Decent writing, typically expecting 3-4 paragraphs in RP. You don't need to be Shakespeare but an effort to use decent grammar and reduce/fix typos is expected. Remember, you are responsible for driving your character forward.

- An understanding that conflict and failure drives story and commitment to writing with honesty and sincerity. I love inclusion of humour as well but this is not intended to be a specifically 'goofy' world. Murder hobos and godmodders need not apply. Conflict in character/in RP stays there.

- Those who respect the boundaries of other players

- A diverse group. With only 3-4 players there is only so much we can do but I don't want this to just be a bunch of dudes.

- LGBTQ+ folks welcome and encourged

- 18+ at a minimum, preference for older

- No ERP

- Collaborative mindset

More basics:

This server primarily takes place in a town named Coyote’s Landing. Coyote’s Landing was formerly known as Banff before the initial outbreak, and has been fortified into a secure town where people can live a life similar to what life was like before the outbreak. Coyote’s Landing is heavily inspired by the town of Jackson in TLOU 2. This server also aims to be semi-realistic, with an emphasis on developing your OC both as an individual, as well as in relationships (whether that be romantic or platonic). 

In this town, you have the freedom of choosing what profession your character will have (current list is hunters, scouts, doctors, herbalists, farmers, ranchers, patrol guards, supply runners, fighters, teachers, blacksmiths, seamstress, traders and cooks. More may be added later). There is also a list of factions (both from the TLOU universe and original factions) that your character can originate from.

𓆟 Thorough world building

𓆟 This server, while taking place within the world of TLOU, does not contain any canon characters and is only for OCs. This server also has a blend of original groups from TLOU (like FEDRA, Fireflies etc.) and groups that have been created by me and other members in the server. 

𓆟 This server has both open-world roleplay as well as a fixed storyline and OC specific storylines  that you can choose to participate in (think similar to a ttrpg but without the dice rolling and ttrpg rules). There will be server events that are linked to the fixed storyline of the server, as well as events that aren’t connected to the storyline and are for entertainment.

𓆟 We are open to most writing styles, anywhere from beginner all the way up to novella. All I ask is that there are no one liners and dry, unengaged responses. 

𓆟 There is a focus on character depth and development in this server, with actions having consequences, conflict between characters and dynamic and engaging storylines. 

𓆟 There is an opportunity to make your own group/faction within the server, as well as an opportunity to pitch your own event ideas and act as the gm for your event.
