Drummer needed, established bay area band, gigs on weekends about every 3 months, practice together at least once a week

I’ve been looking for something like Pentatonix-style group singing (modern pop songs, layered harmonies, vocal arrangements), but most local options seem to be either traditional choir or performance-heavy a cappella.

I’m hoping to find a few people (maybe 4–8?) who enjoy singing and would be interested in casually meeting to harmonize on pop / indie / R&B songs.

What I’m imagining:
Small group (not a huge choir)
Strong focus on harmonies / blend
Pop songs and modern arrangements
No choreography required 😅
Low-pressure, but people who care about sounding good
Maybe occasional performances if there’s interest
Skill level: ideally people who can generally hold pitch / harmony, but you definitely don’t need to be a professional singer.

Personally, I love artists like Billie Eilish, Harry Styles, Sabrina Carpenter, Chappell Roan, SZA, Bruno Mars, etc., but open to all kinds of songs.

I’m in my mid-20s and would especially love meeting other young professionals / grad students. Also, in the Palo Alto / Stanford area, but open to anywhere in the Peninsula / South Bay. I’m also hoping this becomes a fun recurring social thing, not just rehearsals.

hello! I’m looking for a drummer (preferably also in your 20s or early 30s) for my band who can commit to weekly practices (ideally Sunday mornings) and has a portable kit. We practice in Fremont or Sunnyvale usually out of a garage.

Some artists we love are: Dominic Fike, Daniel Caesar, Young the Giant, Bruno Mars, Adele, Ruel, Laufey, OneRepublic, 5SOS, and Good Neighbours.

i wanna start a band and was hoping to find bandmates! i like a lot of different alternative subgenres like doom metal, shoegaze, post punk, goth, indie, math rock, post metal, skramz/screamo/emo, and more. hopefully the band will be a blend of these genres in someway. im 21 and a guy, im pretty good at both drums and guitar, id be fine playing either in the band. i live in the hercules and hoping for band mates to be within like a 30-40 min drive. my only ask is that you should have been playing your instrument for a few years at this point. mainly just want people to jam with and if things get consistent then laid back local shows and song writing can come down the road.

hey yall, just a quick question about SF record stores. My band is touring through the Bay in a few weeks for our new album's release and I was trying to get our CDs consigned or bought at some local shops. I was wondering if who some good stores to hit up would be. Thanks!

Hello Everyone! 

Excited to keep these events coming your way! June is here and so it is time to play some music together. Here are the details of the event.

1) BRING YOUR OWN INSTRUMENT/AMP:

- If you do not have an instrument, there will be a place for you to sing! Or, to switch with someone for a short bit on an instrument. 

- If you play electric guitar make sure you bring an amp and A LONG POWER CHORD TO REACH THE OUTLETS;) 

2) SONGS:

- The songs will be popular song about 99% of us know and we will use these songs chords to sing through and jam out on. 

- These songs will be sent out a week before the jam session happens, PLEASE LOOK THEM OVER AND PRACTICE BEFORE IF YOU ARE A BEGINNER.

3) ALL LEVELS WELCOME:

- Whether you are a beginner, intermediate or advanced there is a place for you. 

- I lead the time and give everyone good enough to solo many chances throughout the night! 

- Break out sessions for beginners and advanced group will happen after the main session.
