AMA Siddaganga Institute of Technology (SIT, Tumakuru)

4th year Industrial Engineering (IM) student here, just to be graduate, with the great success of last year AMA.

I am gonna be brutally honest this time, no holding back in any manner as I have completed the engineering and won't back critisizing the faults.

Feel free to ask me anything about the college.

Dms will be open for those shy people who don't want to ask questions in comments

Little bit more about myself: Currently I hold 3 offer letters from Infosys, TCS and Welspun Living Ltd. I also used to have backlogs, failed multiple subjects, topped multiple subjects.

It's all a part of engineering process.

Looking forward to help you if you all need it .

KCET. COMEDK. JEE. All mediocre. And I'm done pretending this system makes sense.

76% PU boards. Prepared. Gave all three. Got nothing I actually wanted.

The worst part isn't the result. It's that I genuinely tried and it still didn't matter because I'm not wired to perform under that specific kind of pressure on that specific kind of day.

Now everyone's asking "which college are you going to" and I have to say I'm still looking. At 18. Like I failed some basic life test.

Anyway. Looking for decent BTech options outside the KCET/COMEDK rat race. Any suggestions?

The college application process is common knowledge for some people. For a lot of us from smaller cities it genuinely isn't. And nobody talks about that gap.

18 years old. Patna. 69% boards. First person in my family to seriously think about college outside Bihar.

I didn't know about JoSAA. Didn't know about CSAB. Didn't know private colleges have their own separate application windows.

Not because I'm careless. Because nobody around me knew either. My parents tried their best but this world was completely new to them too.

Now I'm watching deadlines pass and I don't even fully understand what I'm missing.

How is this okay?

Yaar thak gya hu 🥀

Relatives think I should drop. Friends think private college is fine. Coaching wala bhaiya thinks one more year will "definitely" crack it. Mom is just stress-cooking every day.

Meanwhile I'm just sitting here like... I don't even know what I want anymore. What do I even do now help me out

A genuine concern help me out 😔

Anyone else scared of taking a drop because of uncertainty?

Like what if I take a drop and still don’t get a good rank next year? Then I lose one full year plus confidence.

At the same time I’m not excited about the colleges I’m getting now either. Really confused.
